Help me adjust my perspective here...
I totally get it and you are most definitely not alone! I have no words of wisdom or advice, but just know that I have had similar feelings. I'm hoping that once I reach my goal and learn to live successfully with my band, those thoughts will fade and I can really get busy living. For now though, I NEED to stay "obsessed" with all things weight related in order to stay focused while still trying to live a little. It's a balancing act for sure. I am going through my journey alone so it's great that you have someone wonderful at home to support you. Anyway....congrats on your loss and best wishes on your continued success.

lapband failure.
Please don't be too embarrassed to ask for help. That's what the doctors are there for. Are you tracking calories? Sounds like you're getting back on track with exercise and water and that's great, but please go see your doctor. Best wishes to you!

Slow Losers???
I think mine is slow, but I figure a slow loss is better than no loss. I've lost 40 pounds in 7 months.

Self Doubt: I need a pep talk!
You CAN do it! What helps me the most is looking at pictures of myself 8 months ago and seeing the change. I don't see it in the mirror so much, but I do see it in pictures. Also, take your measurements every few months and you'll be amazed at the changes going on. Hang in there girlie- you got this!

any regrets? is it harder or easier then you thought?
No regrets, but it has been harder (mentally) than I thought it would be. Best thing I've ever done for myself.

Lap Band & Love Life
I'm glad he's treating you better and hopefully it will stay that way. In my opinion (and from my experience), if you were having problems before surgery, you will most likely have problems after the surgery. You certainly can't make people change and begging for affection will probably just leave you disappointed anyway. There is a chance that you may lose interest after your weight loss and see things more clearly. Only you will know the answer to that. Chances are, you probably already do. I know I did. Best wishes to you pretty lady.

What did you start doing to make the stomach start going down...
I would say maybe pilates to work on your core, sit-ups or the 30 day Ab Challenge would be a good start.

Starting my Journey Today
Hello and welcome! Not going to lie...the pre-op diet is HARD, both physically and mentally but it CAN be done. Try to focus on the end result, drink plenty of water and keep yourself busy. Best wishes to you and your new journey.
