  8. Hospitals and doctors can bill whatever they want, but that doesn't mean they are going to get paid that amount. There are insurance negotiated rates that apply to each and every procedure code, office visit, medicines, supplies, etc. Also, be aware that most patient balances are negotiable and hospital systems will accept a lesser amount from the patient to settle outstanding balances if you pay in full. Example: you have a 80/20 plan, you have surgery then receive a bill for your 20%. Call up the billing department and offer to take care of your balance in full for a 25% discount. I agree that the fees are outrageous, but know that hospitals are willing to work with you to get paid.

  12. Unfortunately, surgery doesn't cure our addiction to food. For me, it's a constant challenge and something I am mindful of every single day. It does get better once you are properly adjusted, but it does take work and motivation. Hang in there and best wishes!!

  15. I had always bought my bras at Lane Bryant, they have some nice ones without the underwire. Now they don't have any to fit me so my new favorites at the Vanity Fair with underwire since the girls have gone south.

  21. This has started happening to me a lot lately, especially with my patients. Those don't bother me, but I have this one co-worker that asks every single week and it drives me nuts.
