  1. I've had this problem with all the protein shakes I've tried.
  2. Hi Leslie! I was also banded on 1/11 and have finally started to feel hungry today. I'm finding it hard to finish my shakes or drink enough water, but I'm trying hard. I wish you well in your journey! Keep in touch.
  3. Good luck tomorrow Kathleen!
  4. Had my surgery yesterday and I'm still in a lot of pain. They did really well keeping me from getting sick- they had me smelling peppermint oil and put some kind of accupuncture bracelet on me. It was really different, but it worked. No post-op vomiting at all. Now if I could get rid of the gas pain!
  5. This is my last day of the pre-op diet and it's been hard! The first 2 days were the worst, but it was a constant battle for me. Being hungry all the time really does mess with your mind, but it is do-able. My surgery is in the morning and I'm scared and nervous at the same time.
  6. Pure Protein has really good chocolate shakes and I like the GNC Total Lean Vanilla Bean.
  7. I like GNC Total Lean Vanilla Bean. They are ready to drink and they have been giving me a discount when I buy a case or two.
  8. It's hard. Very hard. I'm on Day 7 and the first 3 days were the worst for me. It does get better, but I have been hungry for a week. Imodium has been my friend too.
  9. My surgery is on Jan. 11th and I'm on day 5 of my pre-op diet. I've been losing one pound per day and it feels good! I'm so ready for the 11th. Good luck all.
  10. Day one I wanted to chew my arm off, but it does get better. I'm on day 5 now. Good luck!
  11. I thought I would have trouble with this, but luckly I haven't so far. We will be saving money by not eating out as much though. My daughter says she feels bad for eating in front of me, but it really hasn't bothered me yet. I do try to have a shake before I start cooking so I'm not hungry while in the kitchen. My husband has helped with cooking more too.
  12. I can have one small meal per day- 800 calories per day. I tried a different brand of shake and still can't drink more than 2 per day. I should be having 4-5 per day, according to my doctor.

Do you eat it with anything else?
  14. Thanks I will have to try those!
  15. I'm really having a hard time getting more than 2 shakes down per day. Anyone else?? They taste fine, just I just can't do it. I would rather go hungry.
  16. Yay! January 11th for me. Best wishes to you!!
  17. Thanks! You guys are great. Day two seems a little better. Congrats to everyone.
  18. Day one of the liquid diet and I'm starving, but I can't bring myself to drink another shake today. Hopefully this gets easier.
  19. Hi all, I'm scheduled for surgery on January 11th. Three more days till I start my liquid diet. Best wishes!
