December 26, 201213 yr Hello, just wondering if you all have recommendations for a tasty protein shake. Surgery scheduled for January but getting prepped now.
December 26, 201213 yr I personally prefer Unjury protein shakes. I'm almost a year post op and I still have an Unjury Chocolate Splendor shake for breakfast every morning.
December 26, 201213 yr I like pre made ESA chocolate of course did powered at your stage and didn't really like it but drank it do the premade first them go to powered.
December 26, 201213 yr I'm having my surgery the 31st and I have been using the Unjury protein shakes. My favorite is the Chocolate Splendor (I mix it with Light Chocolate Soy milk) but the other flavors are good to. I mix the vanilla with orange sugar free Kool-Aid for a change of pace. I also bought the unflavored but haven't tried it yet. Some folks like the Muscle Milk light.
December 26, 201213 yr Yum.... unjury chocolate spendor. and try it with unsweetened almond milk vanilla or plain!
December 27, 201213 yr http://www.unjury.com/store/protein/ You may want to get the starter kit so you can sample the different flavors and see if you like it.
December 27, 201213 yr Costco Premier Protein shake (chocolate ready to drink) 30g protein, 160cals. 18 shakes for $23.99. Very tasty and no after taste. I like mine in freezer for 50 minutes to get a smoothie condition.
December 27, 201213 yr There are some REALLY GOOD recipes on the stage for liquid, mushies, etc. . . . check out the link to access the RECIPES (LINK: http://www.lapband.com/en/mylapband/dashboard/) GOOD LUCK ~
December 27, 201213 yr I recommend Body Fortress brand Protein powder sold at walmart. I use ONE teaspoon of almond butter and a splash of low sugar/fat chocolate almond milk. You can also find that at walmart or any supermarket. Hope this helps...Good Luck
December 27, 201213 yr Instyle98 - where do you find the orange sugr free kool aid? I've tried to google but I come up empty?
December 27, 201213 yr I buy it at the grocery store where they keep the drink mixes. Remember the old fashioned little envelopes of Kool-Aid that you had to add sugar to? I buy those and sweeten with Splenda. Of course you could use whatever you prefer, like Stevia for example. They're usually 5 for $1 at my grocery store. I also tried mixing strawberry with Crystal Light Lemonade. It was okay, nothing to write home about. ) For variety I just try mixing different flavors together.
December 27, 201213 yr I've been using muscle milk lite (chocolate) its pretty good totally tolerable! I had bought
December 27, 201213 yr Oops I hit send and didn't finish! I had bought the stuff from my dr not sure on the brand it's th true results kind ( strawberry) I do not recommend! It was very foamy and gritty, I cannot have dairy products so it was mixed with water
