Getting the gas out!
Gas can be very painful. Try gas-x strips or chewables and walk walk walk and then walk some more. Sorry there is no easy way . some people also use heating pads just make sure you do not fall asleep with it on.

I chew gum all the time. Was also never told not to chew or anything about swallwing it. Really helps me get through the no drinking after meal deal.

Very normal. A lot of people do shakes or yogurts in the mornning. I usually try to eat breakfast but depending on what I eat I do not always finish. Best thing I like is a greek yogurt and i mix one oz of a healthy nut/seed/fruit mix.

I am lucky and can still drink water pretty fast so I down a bottle at a time several times a day. I drink well over 100 oz on an average day and then have a low calorie gatorade.

3 weeks since surgery and I have stop losing weight
The time right after surgery is for healing and many people stop losing and some even gain. I agree that this is not a time to be weighing your self every day. Also veggies will not make you lose. You should be eating high protein and eating your protein before veggies or fruits. If you do not have your doctor's guidelines for eating you might want to get that and/or see a nutritionist that works with your doctor.

Pre-Op Appointment - What should I Expect?
My suggestions is to keep a written list of questions that you have for your doctor. I always forget to ask something even if I have been thinking about it often.

Not sure what is going on
Unfortunatley for most people the band does not stop us from eating. The only thing that works for me is measuring my food so I know when to stop. Make sure you are eating high protein solids and spending calories on shakes (unless your doctor says to) or other liquids. Also remember that your brain takes about 20 minutes to recognize that you have eaten. If I am still hungry after a meal I wait for a while and see how I feel later. Most times I forget I was still hungry. Best of luck. Maybe post what you are eating for your meals.

I hope you have called your doctor. No sense in being worried unless you need to.

Protein Bars
I have those too. My mom gave to me, but I am not willing to spend my calories on that. I just went to gym after lunch and was the best I have felt yet. Think I will continue to eat food. When I need sweet I eat dark chocolate or I keep a mix of sprouted or raw nuts and seeds mixed with a little dried fruits.

Protein Bars

- Tighter Isn't Always Better
I was always told to measure by volume and not count calories.- Protein Bars
So I hate the quest bars. They made me crave sugar and very head hungry. I am going to concentrate on trying to add a healthy snack instead of a bar or shake.- Heading home from surgery!!

For me its just part of the journey. I follow the guidelines my doctor gives me and learn to tailor it more and more as I go along. Head hunger is a hard thing to get past. What helped me is drinking tons of water and slowly my brain has reconditioned. When I eat meals I make the most out of them. I love to cook and I love love to eat.
