  1. I agree with every one else not to mention for me it is very important to be accountable to someone other then yourself. I stopped going to doctor also and didnt keep to the plan. When I did go back I hade to pay more because they would not fill be without a flouro to make sure my band is ok. Now that I am back on track they are able to just fill me in an office visit which is much cheaper.
  2. I have never heard of that before , but if you trust your doctor trust he is doing what is best for you. Maybe he wants to make sure you are mentally ready. What did your doctor say was the reason? Stay Strong!
  3. Nice idea!! Sometimes I get a 3oz cup of tcby frozen greek yogurt.
  4. Sorry my bad. I should not have been in such a hurry. Best of luck to you.
  5. I decided to go with Bodytech whey tech pro 24. It is a Vitamin Shoppe brand and on sale until the end of month. I bought 2lbs of chocolate and 2lb of vanilla for $38.00. Then i bought unsweetened almond milk vanilla for 30 calories a cup.
  6. careful weighing yourself ever day. if you are gonna do that you gotta be able to handle it and sometimes that can be a challange
  7. i was told by doctor 60-80. you should really be getting this info from your doctor or nutritionist.
  8. measure and track everything. i find that since i started cooking my own meals and not eating a lot of processed foods that the healthier i eat the easier it is to stay on track. you have to get all the sugar and crap out of your system so you will stop craving. it all boils down to "want power" and hard work. hope you get back on track soon. best of luck.
  9. Nice post. You are beautiful inside and out!!
  10. I gurgle a lot. I have no problems with my band.
  11. Good idea but I was noticing when drinking I was surprised it was not very cold.
  12. I also have another question. I have been getting pain in the back of my shoulder when I drink shakes. I get this when I over eat but why when I am taking in liquids? It is so painful.
  13. I am looking for a low calorie vanilla (powder) shake with somewhere around 25 protein and very low sugar and fat and inexpensive. This is for after my workouts. Thank you inadvance.
  14. Decaf coffee soothes my sweet tooth and I love watching the food network for cooking inspiration. Make sure you are drinking enough water. Also I never eat out of boxes or bags and when I am done eating I put the food away. Out of sight out of well you know
  15. I am sorry you have been through so much but everything you have gone through will just make you stronger and more ready. Hang in there. I so wish I had the sugery when I was much younger. You can do it!!
  16. We have almost the same list. Yay us!!!
  17. Depends totally on your doctor and their availability. Good luck!
  18. I was chatting with someone the other day and they started her on pureed at the hospital after sugery. I have never heard of that before but hopefully the doctors know what they are doing.
  19. If you are concerned the first thing you should do is call your doctor. There are no band doctors or nurses on this site that I have heard of.
  20. I am just curious. I measure most everything that I eat. I keep seeing posts in some of the lap band groups where people are saying they are upset they are not losing but they count calories. Turns out they are not measuring their food? How on earth can you count calories if you are not measurin your poritons? Most of these posts are newer people. They just want to be right and don't want to listen. Oh well... maybe this post will help someone..
  21. I never have seen anyone talking about height being a factor. Oh and thanks for the giggles!
  22. I am always told full liquids. I have never done clear after a fill. I can tell you that I am 4 years out and my stomach gurgles and talks all the time.. Before I eat, during and after and even when I lay in bed. If you still feel it may be to tight tomorrow my advice is to call your doctor.
  23. congrats! best thing you can do between now and your surgery is start working on some of those behavoirs. Try taking smaller bites, chewwing longer, putting your fork down between each bite. work on eating without drinking and not drinking until 30-60 minutes after and stop all carbonated drinks. doing these things now will make it easier for you after your surgery.
  24. Congrats. Get very familar with all of the information.
