Gum

I know we are not suppose to have gum six months post-op, but has anyone asked their doctor about mints?

Like Missy I too was never told no gum, Im do agree though no swallowing.

I chew gum all the time. Was also never told not to chew or anything about swallwing it. Really helps me get through the no drinking after meal deal.

I was also told, no gum. They say it causes a lot of gas. I put it to the test a few weeks ago, and I was Totally gassed out! I was shocked, because prior to surgery I always chewed gum. Now I keep Tic Tacs in my purse, for the times I feel the need to "freshen up".

I chew gum all the time...keeps my mouth busy!
