  1. I've lost 3 lbs this week with my hoodia HOORAY for me..with NO band and all ready have lost 104 lbs.. this is huge!!! I take less then the reccomended daily dose.. Thank you I appreciate it
  2. LOL...You tell em Girl!! Back off Bitches!!!!
  3. Cutting the carbs should help with hunger..I know for me carbs crave more carbs and sugar craves more sugar. Protien definately helps curb hunger...NO oatmeal in the morning, that may be your problem try a soft scrambled egg or two..get your portein in , in the AM and it will help with hunger during the day. If I ate oatmeal first thing in the morning, forget about it, I would be eating all day long and hungry all day long, it's those damn carbs!
  4. Its not actual restriction but from the swelling, some will have more swelling then others, you may notice a difference once you get off of the clear liquids and move on to another phase, real true restriction will come once you get your fills, so do not get discouraged if you do not feel any yet or if you do not lose any weight during the pre fill stage, this 6 weeks is for healing and any weight loss during the pre fill stage is a bonus....remember the band was designed to work its best when filled so with no fill it is quite normal to not feel restriction or to not lose much. Good Luck
  5. Isopure makes a clear liquid protein drink and so does Boost..you can get the clear Isopure at any GNC store and the Boost at any grocery store.
  6. Damn I miss my PB's I would give anything to PB again...as much as I hated them when I was having one, I would give anything to have them back I miss my band!
  7. I had it removed on a Monday and was released on a Wednesday
  8. Tough love here too The more youthrow up the more damage you do to your band and the higher the risk of slippage. If you are throwing up more then once a week..you are too tight my friend. No weight loss is worth losing your band, you can still lose weight and not throw up once a week. If it were me I would be getting a small unfill, having as little as .2 cc's removed can still give you great restriction andstill lose wirght but yet be able to eat comfortable without PBing so often. I'm suprised your Dr. is OK with this or is he not aware of it? I was told by my Dr. if I was PBing more then once a week, I was too tight! He would never allow me to be PBing that often but then again, I would never allow myself to be PBing that often.. Be a wise and responsible bandster...call your Dr. and schedule a slight unfill and get checked for slippage
  9. Hey Girl, sorry I missed you call this morning, had I answered I would of definately talked you out of stopping for cinnamon rolls, I hope you talked yourself out of it ..do not igve in to temptation, especially so early in the morning or you will be doomed all day long, you will hate yourself in the morning for it. NO YOU MAY NOT PIG OUT!!!!!
  10. Sorry Jonathan to hear of your slip but atleast you now got concret answers and have a chance to get things all fixed up. Best of luck to you :couch2:

Clarins makes a great one, it does not make you look orange..or fake..if you plan to invest in one, invest in a good one, go to any major department store for it, do not buy it at any local drug store..I personally use the tanning beds but did use the Clarins for a spell...I got several compliments on how great my tan was. here is the one I used from Clarins http://us.clarins.com/main.cfm?prodID=560
  12. What a great story...and you did it all on your own with NO band! Iam so proud of you. Thank you for being here and always encouraging us.. I know all too well about diabetes, my mother had juvenile diabetes lived with it all her life and it was what took her life 7 yrs ago..
  13. Please do not take offense to this but the band will not stop you from binging..you can eat right through and right past the band with certain foods..all the junk food goes down easy not matter how much restriction you have Cookies, chips chocolate ice cream go down with no problem. I would take this time to try and figure out why you binge..if you do not eat the right foods the band will not work, there are certain foods the band never restricts.. I have a very dear friend who got the band for the same reason you want it..to stop binging..well guess what, he has had 3 fills and still binges and eats and drink around the band..his weight loss is very minimal and he has been banded for 9 months now..I'm not trying to discourage you, just trying to prepare you that the band is not a magic wand, your head has to do alot of the work..you head and band have to work together ..I wish you the best and hope you find answers to why yopu binge and you can get things under control...
  14. It's not so much what you eat but how much of it you eat, as bandsters we do not feel the "full" feeling like we did pre band..so it is very easy to continue to stuff your pouch..pouch stuffing can lead to many other things not good for your band...not to mention you need to use the time with your band the best you can and lose as much weight while you can, use it as a tool because one day you may find yourself like many of us here now...ERODED and no band at all! Beleive me when I say, had I not used my tool to the best of my ability and had only lost 50 -60 lbs I would of been devastated to lose it but I worked with my band while I had it and lost over 100 lbs with it and happy to say since my band removal I have yet to gain any weight back..yes I do struggle but I am determined to not gain this weight back..I still eat like a bandster and still do not drink with my meals..still drink no carbonation..still eat from a smaller plate...still eat my protein first so I know I did learn something from this but I would be lying if I told you I have not deviated since my band removal, sure I have had a piece of chocolate or a cookie.. here and there but not 5 or 6 like I would of pre band. Just becuase I can eat it now with no problems and no restriction does not mean I should and I tell myslef over and over in my head when I want to binge that "NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS SKINNY FEELS" It helps!
  15. Lisa I started wearing the low rise jeans..and Victoria Secret makes a low rise thong to..they work great for the low rise pants..I never thought I would get used to it but I have..the thing I have trouble with is the flair bottom legs..cant wear flats with them, have to wear heels of some kind I love th Old Navy below the waist line...I can wear a size 8-10, they run big
  16. Just my 2 cents here Nykee The reason you seem to want to eat more is because you are eating crap..food that the band will not or does not restrict..liquids go right through..junk goes right through..and if you say you can not eat any solids ..then girlfreidn you are too tight...the band was not designed to just drink your meal or eat candy..you need some real food..protein, the Protein will curb your hunger so if you can not get anything down but liquids atleast drink Protein drinks instead of grape juice and chocolate milk all that sugar does is make you crave more sugar..in my opinion you have fallen itno the soft/liquid food syndrome...and that my friend will not help you to lose weight, if anything you will take in more caloreis then if you ate solids...liquids and soft foods go right through the band, they do not stay in your pouch plain and simple which is exactly why you are hungry
  17. Today I did not take my 2nd dose and I still do not feel hungry from the first dose..and no jitters for me either..

  19. You are grieveing the loss of your best friend "FOOD" Like so many ouf us obese people, food was our best friend, the thing we turned to when we were sad, when we were happy etc...now it is not so easy to turn to food when you have good restriction..what you are feeling is normal..once you really start to see a change in your clothing and quality of life..your mood will become something of happiness and that hole in your soul will be filled with joy! hang in there :puke:
  20. It just seems that way right now since the 8 of us eroders on this board were all banded in MX Donali Penni Lisa Francesca Karen Topsy Ceira Myself
  21. Dr. Ortiz and Martinez both told me that it is possible to detect that something may be worng if they see under "fluoro" the barium flow over the band instead of through the band. This is how Francesca and both Karen were told they needed and endoscopy, both had flouro done with Ortiz while going in for a fill and both had the barium flow over the band and not through the band while under flouro.
  22. Banded April 6th 2004 Surgeon Dr. Ariel Ortiz Erosion detected Nov 21st 2005 Band Removed due to erosion Nov 28th
  23. Banded April 6th 2004 Banded in TJ MX Surgeon Dr. Ariel Ortiz Date of erosion detected Nov 21st Band Removed Nov 28th
  24. The great thing about the band is not so much " what you eat" but " how much you eat" With the band you can eat anything in moderation without doing much damage on the scale.
  25. Spinach dip..hummus are both band friendly Buffalo wings are packed with protein
