- Shoulder Pain- Revealed!
Went for my first Post Op appt. was telling the doctor about this left shoulder pain that was especially unbearable when I bend down. Turns out it is caused by the tubing, rubbing against my diaphram and irritating. It has caused an inflammation so I'm supposed to take gel caps of Motrin.- Is It Weird Cuz I Feel This Way
The liver sits on the stomach so there are surgeons who want the liver a little lighter so that it isn't as heavy to lift. ( at least that was what I was told by the NUT a day before surgery.) The preop diet when you CAN eat everything is very different from the postoperative diet when you can't and don't want to. So really you are not at a disadvantage. There are so many variations that it can get confusing. Since your team is gonna get you through this, I'd follow their guidelines.- Getting Ready To Move From Pre To Post

It's a medical tag made for athletes. You can have it as a bracelet, shoe tag or necklace I think. I got it originally for my son who was training for a tri. Sending him out on a long ride alone was scary. If he had an accident no one would know who he was. RoadId.com- October Bandsters?

I don't agree with MellissaW, he doesn't need to know and you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. Be your own judge and jury, hold your own court. Ask for others opinions when you want it. It is not important for your success to have everyone agree with you or anyone for that matter. It's nice, but not necessary. My husband and the two children still at home are the only ones who know about my surgery. I didn't feel like hearing it from anyone else. Frankly because I don't care about other ppls opinions and I only need positive people around me right now (banded 10/5) Sad thing is my mom could be of use to me post op but I just can't deal with the drama right now. I'm too busy finally taking care of me! Brush it off, it won't be the last time you are disappointed. Big hug if encouragement from me, I understand!- Couch To 5K On A Treadmill?
