  1. I think I just heard a toilet flush!
  2. Jim, any other fears? Just fear of failing? I don't think you are being negative. I think you may be looking for a way out though. You have every reason to worry about what you are worrying about. You must be READY for the life change. Only with determination will you succeed. The good news is that you are in control. Your success will depend on you. Good news is you will have a lifeline that will help you. I welcome you wholeheartedly and hope you can prepare mentally for a life altering change. Going to YouTube and watching gherlinBGone's journey really helped me. Her mind set is spot on.. You may enjoy it as well! Keep us posted.
  3. You are the subscriber to a service. You absolutely have the right and I encourage it. It holds everyone's hands to the fire. You must be your own advocate through any process involving your health. This is no different.
  4. Dr. Coirin is not only a bariatric surgeon but also a trauma surgeon. He is one of the most talented dr in the area. He has done over 8000 procedures so he has a lot of experience. His staff is wonderful and caring as is he. He works with you and communicates with you to make sure you are successful but also is very real with you. Why go to someone with less experience when you can work with the best.
  5. Coming off of sugar is terrible, you will feel better by day 3 or 4. We've all been through it and at the end of it you will get to meet a new side of you, the strong determined side. Make sure you congratulate her!
  6. You are TOO funny! Roflmtao
  7. Oh boy! You just opened yourself for a avalanche of comments! Ha. It is common, you need your liver shrunken so surgery will be smooth. Better 3 little holes than having to be cut open. Also, I'm sure you are taking Vitamins too right? Are you on Protein shakes for two weeks? Believe it or not most of us were getting less nutrients eating everything in sight than the two weeks of liquid diet. It will be crazy hard for about three days then your body will start calming down. After all you are detoxing too.
  8. I can't believe some of you haven't heard of or don't know what a shelf butt is! I guess I am just ghetto but I know and have a shell butt. It is what prohibits you from sitting all the way back in your seat when in the car. If you reach back and touch your spine and then run your hand down to your butt, if it takes a sharp curve outward then baby YOU GOT BACK TOO! I actually named my gut! I call her Girthtrude. I named her that because girth is the circumference around and I definitely have a girth. Having said that, when my son came home Monday after a month gone he looked at me and said " where is Girthtrude?" (22.6 lbs lost) felt good to get a little praise at the beginning of my journey!
  9. Oh and it is great to mix in to your recipes for added protein.
  10. It's really good and comforting. Trick is to pour a little bit of room temperature water on it, mix good, then add hot water. If not it does not mix. Took me two tries to get it right.
  11. Online. About time you can get on ebay too but unjury I get from their sight.
  12. You look beautiful! Congrats!
  13. I think that those bubbles devolve the vitamins but after sitting for a minute they are all gone. Swansons vitamins online also offer a bariatric line of liquid and chewables. Their other chewables are good too. Reasonable priced at top quality. I'd suggest some coq10 also.
