Not Losing

I had my surgery on the 10th. I lost about 5 lbs the first week after surgery, but I have gained a half lb during the Mushie week. I'm a little disappointed. I have to drink two boost drinks a day, which is almost 500 calories. Plus the Mushie food I eat.

that's normal...your weight will be up and down for the first month of surgery...stay away from the scalee atleast for the first month if not you will drive yourself crazy...let your body heal and the weight will drop from there..

I know it is frustrating to see the scales not move but u are still healing. It hasnt been 2 weeks yet. I promise u will lose. Also can u try a protein drink that doesnt have so many calories?

Thanks, ladies! I guess I just need to give it time. I could drink some other drinks, I just hate to waste what I already have...

I got some drinks at Sams they are less than 150 calories. I had a hard time with my protein because I am not a big sweet eater. Even though they had less than 5 grams of sugars they were sweet.

About Time has 24 G Protein and 90 cal. powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury has 22 g and is also 90 cal.

Save what you have for later when you have those days when you can only have a shake, like after a fill.

Normal, there is no expected weight loss in the first six weeks after surgery. Most loss a few pounds but the sliders we have to eat in the beginnng to give our self to heal are higher in carbs and calories. In the beginning it is key to stay hydrated and drink your protein. Your body needs to heal.
