  1. Left shoulder pain is caused by something totally different. Search the thread Shoulder Pain- Revieled on here. Heating pads and walking. Drs should talk about the gas more. No one ever told me about that. Pain meds didn't help at all. Only walking, heat and patience!
  2. I want to post a picture of myself without a butter body... You know " she's so pretty but..her...body"
  3. Hello! We're you cleared for that type of exercise? I only say that because there are numerous complications that can happen from exerting yourself before your band and port are anchored good by scar tissue. Can you call your doc and see? I'd hate for a slip or a flip to happen.
  4. My mom noticed the difference already and I told her that I'm under dr care. She asked if I was doing medifast and I just said to her " I can't afford $300+ a month fr a diet" end of story.
  5. It's really not that daunting. I was a little afraid too. You have a clear grasp on reality though and will not have any problem. It's just a frank talk about your expectations, where you've come from and where you are going.
  6. My husband and my two boys are the only ones that know. My mom says lap band cause cancer. My brother says that everyone he know that has had wls had died. Guess I won't be telling them anything any time soon!
  7. Could you get a canister type vacuum? Pulling a canister around might be just as bad though.

My mother-in-law passed away yesterday morning on my birthday. She was 73 years old. Her and her husband live in Italy and are both deaf. We got a call at 3 am on Thursday October 4th to tell us that my husband (only child) needed to rush home because his mom was sick and in the hospital and not expected to make it. This was the day before I was scheduled for surgery. He was on a plane that afternoon. I decided to brave out the surgery alone and I am glad that I did. (no one else knew of the surgery except my 17 year old and my 11 year old boys) What followed that day was almost 3 longs weeks of ups and downs until she finally couldn't fight any longer. She had literally never been sick a day in her life. She picked up the strep virus (streptococcus) and it turned into STSS and it literally attacked all of her organs until there was nothing left. My mother-in-law was the absolute best grandmother in the world. Her eyes lit up like the sun when she saw her grandchildren. She would look at them with adoring eyes and hug on them and kiss them. They adored her too. I am just happy that the week before she got sick my 17 year old son was over in Italy visiting them. Her last days on this earth were spent doing what she loved best, being a grandmother. I am happy that I had this surgery as it is my first emotional challenge to face without food. So far I am doing great! I just can't wait for my husband to get home so that I can give him a big hug!
  9. Hunger is this name of the game for a while unfortunately. I drink hot tea in the morning at the end of the day too. I add sweetener to it if I'm especially hungry. Seems to tame the beast. For the rest of the say I just space out the food/ drink. It gets better by the way.
  10. Are you a doctor? Or a nurse maybe?
  11. You will have to try it and let us know!
  12. I added ff cottage cheese 1tbs and it was yum-o!
  13. Oh the hunger yes here it begins! I was banded October 5 and I am very familiar with hunger. Stick to your nutrition plan and the phase that you're supposed to be in as much as possible so you can heal properly. Just keep intaking little by little throughout the day and it will get better I promise.
  14. I was wondering.... IF you send message and not just an update then no one else can see that. And when you make a comment on someone else's post just make sure it's not in regards to your lb because your friends will get notified that you made a comment and they could click to go see what you said. I don't know if there is a way to turn off this type of notification though.
  15. Our doctors/nut all have different plans. I'm following mine. It wasn't the type of food, I'll have to learn sooner or later to respect the band. Fault was all mine!
  16. Every day gets easier. Glad to know you are good!
  17. We don't. I guess I should have just been graphic.
