  1. Sorry I disagree with you. The main goal is to be healthy! If I could eat and stay fat but still be mobile and full of energy, happy, no health issues I probably would. Fact is, being overweight is unhealthy. However, I'm not willing to trade one health risk for another. Desperation to lose weight FAST has gotten all of us into the cycle that brings us here. Wls is a totally different approach. I for one am not going into this with the same games I played before. I'm in it for the long haul with the mentality that it is scientifically impossible to stay obese if you live the life of a skinny person. 4. I made mini quiche on muffin tins and froze them. I then pull them out of the freezer and nuke it. It is quick and easy for on the go and super filling. Making them with spinach adds to the chewing but mushrooms or asparagus tips would work too. 12 eggs 1/2 c ff shredded cheese ( like WW brand) 4 c chopped spinach (cooked and drained well) 1/3 c sautéed onions or raw chives 1/2 c. Shredded chicken or turkey sausage pre cooked and drained 1/3 c. Ff ricotta cheese Dash of nutmeg Salt if desired (if you salt the veggies first no need to add extra Beat eggs well, add other ingredients Fill 12 muffin tins equally. ( make sure you spray them with Pam spray first!) Bake at 375 for 20-25 min or until center is not soft (toothpick test) Top with a small amount of shredded cheese when fresh out of the oven if desired. 106.5 cal ea Fat 5.8 g Protein 10.4 g Carbs 2.6 g ( for those who care) Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs
  5. It is really good. The only thing is, you must dissolve it in a little bit of cold Water first then pour on the hot water. If not it looked like a boiled scrambled egg floating in clumps on top of milky water. Tastes just as bad too. Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs

Listen to this Fitbit story: I purchased my ultra online from fitbit.com in April 2011. Used a few months then I put it in my desk drawer at work. I then pulled it out after surgery. It's been acting all weird. I logged on to their website for tech support and did all their troubleshooting until I finally wrote them for help. Guess what? They are sending me a new one for free! 9. I wish that all the time and energy spent being rude and jealous ( yes I said it) would be spent fixing their problems and learning their band. The fact is when you post for us newbies, only half of us will be successful. Only half of us will make it to where you are. But, all of us have cheated, skirted around, or given up on our past diet attempts. Lashing out at others, complaining about results, and not following the rules are just other ways to try to cheat the system. If my mind set is not like yours from day 1 of pre-op I will not make it! I have to get out of my own way and let the band do its job. I have two lifelines as I see it: my band and my successful new friends on this forum. For that I am truly grateful! Thank you!

  11. The secret to the chicken broth is to mix it in a small amount of cold Water first. THEN fill the cup with hot water. If not it will not mix and it will terrible. I threw out 3 servings before getting it right. Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs
  12. Facts are facts, band has about a 50% success rate. Or failure. 1/2 of the newbies on this site will not lose or keep off the weight. What do YOU think makes one person more successful than another? It's the ability and determination to follow the rules! Don't set yourselves up for failure right out of the gate. If you were on the preop diet you already had a taste of what hungry was about. That was your time to cry and complain, not now. Settle down, get your mind right and stick to the program! 13. Side note: rapid weight loss is not what we are looking for nor what is promised. 1-2 lbs a week once in green zone. Everything else is cake...concentrate on getting better and it will all work itself out in the end. Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs
