  1. It's Saturday! Checking in for week one. Start 235.5 Today 233.4 Lost 2.1 this week!
  2. I would follow the suggestions above to go online and get Unjury. In the mean time, muscle milk LIGHT. remember that you want a isolate whey protein.
  3. Hi 1der! Just wondering what you do for work. Are you in marketing by chance?
  4. Put some sweat pants on and relax. It's common. It's part of the journey. THIS TOO SHALL PASS! Congrats btw!
  5. Another thought, if your insurance is through your company: a lot of companies have insurance brokers who sell the insurance to the company. they also can fight for you. If the company is not too large you may be able to contact that person for assistance. Larger companies may not even know if there is one. Throwing on a 9k charge to get more money out of the claim is fraud and a breach of contract between the insurance company and the drs/ hospital. When you have insurance, the hospital/drs agree to the contract of the insurance they accept. Going around the contract to get more money is not ok. I'd fax that puppy to the insurance company and bring it to their attention. Also the BBB can help.
  6. The only thing that I can see that may harm you is the Water intake. Dehydration is the biggest issue.. Dehydration effects the kidneys among other things. High Protein diets have an effect on the kidneys, causing stones. ( I've had issues in the past) Drinking enough fluids ensure proper function of the kidneys by flushing them out. Also, After you wash your dishes you rinse them off right? Well drinking water is a way to rinse the fat out of your body. As far as exercise goes, you'll get there. Or not. There are people who do not formally exercise during their journey but are still successful. It's not recommended though. For me, learning the new lifestyle and hitting the gym hard is too much to add to my already very full life. I just started a week ago doing three TRX classes a week. ( banded oct 5) I look at this journey like I'm learning to juggle. Give me one ball and I'll toss that, once I've got that down toss me in another one, and so on. Keep doing your successful actions. Increase your water intake however you can, and be aware of how much you move. You are doing great!
  7. What a sweet story. You nailed it though, it is too intimate for at least one not to develop feelings. Congratulations!
  8. Lee, you are freakin amazing!
  9. I felt a little like how you are feeling too. BUT I'm two months post op and I've already lost 42% of what I need to lose! If I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have lost any sleep! Hang in there!
  10. Tiff, running it the absolute best and fasted way to lose belly fat for that very reason ( IMHO) the results are amazing! Enjoy!
  11. 1. WOW 2. WOW WOW WOW 3. WOW WOW WOW WOW! Well I can always lose weight and YOU will always be ignorant!
  12. Hey! That week went by fast! Glad everything went well. Don't worry about the pill. You'd know if it was stuck. If you are still worried drink some hot tea. They dissolve quickly enough though! And for gods sake keep ahead of the pain. Take your Percocet!
  13. How's your veggie intake? Lots of bean/ cheese mushies can slow you down. Mush some spinach or zucchini and add it to some mushed chicken with a little broth. Keep things moving with your intestines too. Remember that wl is mathematical. Cal in- cal burn= wl. It is not possible to eat 800 cal high qual foods and remain obese. Just be patient!
  14. It could be from the stitching. Did he fix a hiatal hernia too? Sometimes that can be the cause of the back pain.
  15. No I did not. I'm in California. Used the Modesto bariatric center. Awesome awesome awesome!
  16. So glad your surgery went well. The gas is by far the only discomfort I felt. Congrats!
  17. I am coloring my hair with Demi-color. Not as harsh. I also use Wen hair products that keeps my hair so awesome that I can't believe it. I lose a lot during tax season each year due to stress, long hours, and poor nutrition so it is nothing new to me. It always comes back though.
  18. Hello! I was banded Oct 5. I started the process in Jan though. Had a few snags along the way but here I am 2 months post op tomorrow and I'm down a total ( including preop) 42.2 lbs! I was so apprehensive and green when I joined this forum in September. I've made some awesome friends though who understand what I'm going through. Browse around, get to know everyone..you'll find some great support here! I'm on myfitnesspal too at micheleost, if you'd like to add me.
  19. Do you get a fill the day of surgery or start with just the band?_ it depends on your surgeon. Some do, some don't. Mine did not. He said they like to make sure if there is any problem right after surgery they know what the source is ( the band vs the band and the fill). Also do you schedule your first fill the day of surgery?_ it depends on your surgeon. usually you would have a follow up visit about a week after your surgery. Your dr will then tell you his schedule for fills. My followup was one week after. Then my fill was three weeks after that.
