- Moody. and its not pretty
Or you can put your loved ones to the test and come out swinging!- Down in the dumps
Wooooaaahhhh woah woah give your body time to catch up to you! You took off running out of that gate and have done Awesome! You must have known that this day would have come..now you get to look back and get a grip on how far you've come in such a short time. Take a deep breath and calm that little voice in your head with all that crazy talk and focus on the horizon!- Moody. and its not pretty
Ooh ohh I wanna answer this one..heehee! Well here it goes, pre wls I would be mad, angry, hurt, upset and I'd suck it up and eat eat eat eat until I felt comforted. Now? I have no choice but to feel the emotions. if I have to state my opinions and stand my ground a little more then everyone else will have to suck it up for a while. My crutch is gone for crying out loud... Good news- the more successful you are the less angry you will become. So ride this wave proud and strong and for gods sake don't give up!- Lapband Just Did Not Work For Me

Very excited for you!- Venting Session
- Resistance bands!? Ya or Nay?
- HAS ANYONE TRIED VEGGIE STICKS FROM COSTCO AND ARE THE HEALTHY ENOUGHT TO EAT THEM WITH THE BAND?
Costco veggie snack chips are all of the above stated AND. ... That bag is huge! They wouldn't last me a year as they should because they are sliders. In a moment of weakness, I'd down them all in a few days. I wouldn't risk having them around.- I just wanna cry
It doesn't matter when you get there. The journey is what will keep you there. . If you spend all your energy comparing yourself to others you will miss the beauty of your journey and you'll skip all the other things you need to work on besides wl. Those things will keep you at goal because your mindset will have changed. You will get there and you will be damn proud of yourself when you do. In the meantime, changing the mentality that got you here is a big job and needs a lot of your energy. For example, when you were on a diet in the past and were sticking to it but didn't see a weight loss what did you do? I personally gave up QUICKLY! Are you seeing a similar pattern here? JS Use everyone's successes as a motivation, not as a tool to beat yourself up with. No one has an upper hand here. We all have the same tools. We are ALL wls success stories in training! You already have a lot of success, a proven record of how strong you are/ have been so far in this whole process. Celebrate yourself, cut yourself some slack, and quiet that voice in your head!- Venting Session
But yet this whole thread is about you NOT liking different opinions, even saying that they are rude in their manner. You are confusing me! I poked in to see what all the fuss was about and then I got to this post and realized that all the fuss was about you. If you are reading this interpreting a snarl on my face and an uppity air you are reading it wrong. I'm just wanting to understand, that is all!- Finally my first fill tomorrow the 20th
My first fill was 3 ccs. I was told it was the most aggressive fill I would get. Next fill was 1.5. I go in Wednesday for 3rd fill. I have the realize band (14ccs). My doc always numbs first. I always have to drink Water before I leave. If I can get it down then all is well. My appointments are longer than in and out because I ask a LOT.of questions. They are really good about answering them too. I love having a team on my side!- 2nd day pre op liquid diet
What helped me through the pre-op part was changing my mind set. It's not a diet to lose weight, it's a diet to ensure success of a surgical procedure. It's the same as when they make you fast before having blood work. My surgeon told me that if my liver was too heavy he couldn't do the procedure laparoscopically and would instead have to open me up! I wasn't having that so I decided to stick to the diet to make it work. I lost 12 lbs, had a successful surgery. But most of all, the change in mindset set my post op success in motion. I didn't ask a lot of questions to make the road easier. I didn't let my self cry over what i couldn't have. I just found out what was necessary to succeed, what foods I could eat, and just stuck to it. I was banded 10/5 and am down 47 lbs with 59 to go.- I Don't Want To Tell Anyone I'm Considering Lapband
I told people that I had a hernia and a liver biopsy.. Both are true.- Tummy tuck and breast left on Tuesday 12/18

It's Saturday! Checking in for week three. Start 235.5 Week 1 233.4-lost 2.1 Week 2 231.2-lost 2.2 This week 229 Lost 2.2 this week too!- Band Tighter After Workout?
I swear by hot tea. It helps before during and after my workouts. Keeps tummy and my minimi all warm and happy!- Tummy tuck and breast left on Tuesday 12/18
I was wondering about the breast lift. One thing I notices with wls that didn't happen with my other attempts to lose weight is that by breasts this time around are gone! My hubby and boys think that " fake" breasts are disgusting. Maybe because the only ones they've ever seen are huge! ( from friends that have had them. ) I get so excited reading about your story. I can't wait until I have earned mine!- October 23Rd Bandsters?
- 4 days post-op
The gas pain is definitely something that we aren't warned about before hand and its the worse part! No amount of pain meds can help. Good news is that it passes quickly enough! When you start seeing results though you'll look back and know it was worth it.- Band Tighter After Workout?
I take hot herbal tea to the gym instead of water. I can't drink a lot anyway. Sipping something hot has helped me not feel tight. I have the Realize band. I do TRX classes 3x a week.- Back again
Joe, congrats on the restart! Hope we can all give you the support you need! Keep us posted!- Tummy tuck before and after pics
Wow! I had no idea it would be so awesome! So, question, do the scars fade pretty well? It looks so barbaric but man so worth it! Congrats!!- Tummy tuck and breast left on Tuesday 12/18
Floridays, thank you for sharing this with us, especially since I'd like to be brave enough to do so myself once I'm at goal. Im so glad you are doing good. - Moody. and its not pretty
