  1. smiling real big for you right now.
  2. That is awesome news. I hope to hear soon.
  3. Sending you positive thoughts and healing prayers. Also for your wife too,
  4. I would love it if you would list your routine. That is the one thing I am most concerned about is how to get everything in and when after surgery. Wishing the best and hope you feel better and better with each passing day. Welcome.
  5. Being very upfront to those caring for you is very important. They will glad to know and glad to help. Also if someone you trust, like your Mom, or good friend can stay with you that might help. Get this set up before hand and have some idea of how you will communicate to your "person" that things are overwhelming you. There is no reason for you to have to deal alone with this or be more anxious then necessary. So don't be afraid to talk to people about your situation and have an advocate for yourself. Just your being aware that there might be triggers and thinking ahead will help you a great deal. Sending you positive thoughts.
  6. please call the doc this doesn't sound right for any time especially after surgery
  7. Enjoy today and your new clothes and your daughter of course. Lots of thing to celebrate this weekend for you. Enjoy every second.
  8. Wishing you the very very best. Hope the next couple of days are not to nerve wrecking. Will be thinking of you and sending prayers and healing thoughts your way.
  9. Walk, Rest, and Sip just like you would have done after the other surgery. This was just a trial run. Your journey will continue (THANK GOD) you are here. Take this time to heal and continue preparing. May God bless you real big.
  10. I am so glad you are ok but I know you are disappointed beyond belief not to have had the surgery. I pray something can me done and you can get the surgery if it can be safe for you. My thoughts and heartfelt understanding are with you this afternoon. Gentle Hugs
  11. Are you close enough to the doc that you could maybe go weigh in first thing in the morning and then your scheduled appt that evening. I know that wouldn't work for everybody but like in my case that is what I would try to do because I am only about 15 mins from weight loss center. Just a thought.
  12. This is so exciting for the two of you. Makes me smile.
  13. I am not saying this is a go, but would be interested if this would be doable after several weeks after surgery: I love the glenny's bbq protien chips, I get mine on Amazon.com by the case. I like to make tuna or egg salad and use the protien chips like crackers. I have done this after band and just when on a high protein low carb diet and even now waiting for RNY would love to hear what others think about this
  14. sending you prayers and healing thoughts. Vicki
  15. there really are no words to describe how awesome that is. Please stay encouraged and continue on your journey, You are getting healthier every day. Hugs to you,
  16. you are both very lucky to have each other, And happy for your ego boost,
  17. great idea, the market would be pretty good and even those who have not had weight loss surgery might be interested as a good way to lose weight. sounds very interesting good luck
  18. Praying you are having a great day and feeling better each hour.
  19. that is awesome. I know it just made your day. Vicki
  20. That is tough. I just don't know what to say. But vent away. And I know easier said then done, but try not to take it to heart or let it get to you too much. But even as I type that it sounds hollow. Big Gentle Hugs Vicki
  21. I want what she is having.....lol....you look great and your smile is so encouraging.... thank you
  22. That would be an awesome goal for me. I hate to have my pic taken. What a milestone would that be if I said Hey so and so would you take my picture. Unimaginable really. Lap Band Revision to RNY Waiting for Insurance approval
  23. I am sure it is here on this forum somewhere, probably many times, but could someone or several tell what a normal day for them is post op, a few weeks out, like how is you day scheduled. I already take so many meds and insulin and testing blood sugars and breathing treatments, trying to have an idea what life will be like after. How do you get everything in that you need.. Maybe the same way I get the stuff I need now, just better stuff, lol. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
