How Long?

How long until I feel normal? I am 5 days out and I'm getting my protein and liquids. I just feel queasy and nauseous all the time. Incision pain is hardly noticeable-not taking lortab or Tylenol for that-gas x only helps for a minute.. Is there something I can do or take for the tummy yucks?

I'm in the same boat I'm 6 days out and have all the same issue . Today seems to be better . I have hardly no pain even after surgury . I'm yucky to I think we have to just give it time .

Yes indeed. it take time. i am allmost 5 month, i feel great. eating allmost all normal food just in small quantity. give it time drink allot if water. be strong. it will all come to normal. you will love your new look.

I was prescribed zofran for the nausea. Otherwise walk, drink water, walk, drink water. It took awhile for me to feel normal, but started feeling better about 2 weeks out. Good luck!

I am 7 days post op and I'm having a really hard time comfortably getting fluids in and anything else. I get qweezy and my stomachs gurgling. I'm hoping this gets better. glad to know I'm not alone though!

Thank you all-yes glad we are not alone in feeling like this. Almost feels like a bad flu. Great to know another week should be better and down the road what we have to look forward to!

Hey everyone☺

This is my first post!! I have found this board so helpful with all the information..

I had my surgery on September 11. I feel very good today and improve a little each day. No major complications & have found a daily routine to get in all the shakes/vitamins/calcium... plus abt 3 more pills a day. All the liquids are just almost too much!

Thanks to everyone for being such a wealth of info!! Looking forward to the new me!!

I would love it if you would list your routine. That is the one thing I am most concerned about is how to get everything in and when after surgery.

Wishing the best and hope you feel better and better with each passing day. Welcome.
