I was feeling the same way right around 4weeks post op. I was told by other sleevers that it's normal. I think my depression lasted no more than 2 weeks. I don't have that much energy but the "feeling blue" is gone. It's ok get lots of rest your body had a major surgery your body is telling you to get some rest. Hugs

I don't have too many pet peeves but one of them is "axe" instead of "ask"

Check out your local thrift stores in your area they might have sales to get clothes at a cheaper price. I live in Phoenix, AZ and I love going to goodwill stores every other saturday they have everything 50% off

I was sleeved 10/8/12 so far I have lost about 30 lbs since I started my wls journey. My experience with Dr Fernando Garcia was great he is a highly skilled surgeon I'm so glad I went with him. I was also looking for a surgeon months ago I had a diff one in mind and after finding so many great experiences w/ Dr Garcia I was sold. I know...some people have asked me why in the world I did this right before the holidays. But, I just think of all that weight I would be GAINING over the holidays like I usually do and it makes me feel a little better. At least we won't have that to worry about later.

I am currently in Mexico and i was just sleeved by Dr. Garcia. The facility is great and so is the hotel that they put you in. Dr. Garcia was really hands on with his trusty ipad giving me a visual display of how and what he was going to do during the surgery. I will be going home in a day or so. Im feeling great and no complications so far.......fingers crossed! You will be fine. I was the only surgery for Dr. Garcia on the day that i came so it made me feel more comfortable that i was the only one for the day. Hey girls I'm doing well yesterday afternoon was my surgery dr. Garcia had others patients before me... Right now I have to walk and walk so I can't get rid of the pain in my stomach the nurses here are so good they are been helping me a lot I'm just waiting to eat or drink something I'm not been allowed to drink anything..., thank you for your prayers

Well, I'm in Tijuana right now.... Check in time is 9:30 am. Yesterday night I was so nervous but that went away once I met the wonderful lady of ready 4a change (Rosy) she came to visit me & answering my questions and calming my nerves.... They are amazing!!! Samuel (the driver) he is fantastic he give a small tour they are sweet and cool, now, I'm ready to be sleeved! I haven't even met dr Garcia yet but his staff are so cool that I know everything will be okay. Oh my god I'm here now so I can't go back so happy to have again my life back

I personally like having a coordinator in terms of being able to answer questions, etc. That's just too valuable for me. They also schedule your rides and all of that.

Mi hospital does not suck at all! Is it small? Yes. Do they have the most up to date equipment? No. Is it clean and does it have everything any other hospital has? Yes.
I never once felt at risk in the hospital. The staff were very nice and the rooms were good.

Hello. Thank you so much for trusting my team and for being such an angel to us. As we all know unfortunately as surgeons we will ALL have a complication in our career. But I can assure you that my teams rate of complication is the same as the best surgeons in the world. We did have a complication but it was not related to Bariatric surgery, as you probably know i'm also a general surgeon and perform hundreds of surgery per month other than bariatric surgery. We always work in the safest environment , with the greatest care for our patient because we see our patients as Human beings not as numbers. You know us and i'm sure you know what I mean. Unfortunately their will always be "Envy" and "dirty competition" from people that see other people as "money" ; their is a particular company that is doing this to my team which is "A lighter me", they are writing very unprofessional comments about me and my team because as you stated above they are trying to take patients that are asking for my services to take them to their doctors and get a profit. Their are several great doctors in Mexico, but it is not right to try to tarnish my "name" which has cost us hundreds of happy patient's trust, hour of hard work, etc. I worked for "A lighter me" and have asked them to stop sending me patients because they had some internal issues, I guess that's what upset them and well, you know what they are capable of doing. I'm still working with them as today just because I have several patient that scheduled a surgery long ahead of time and to me their trust is worth having to put up with all the low blows that this company is giving to me.
So thank you so much Suzy for your sense of justice, for trying to protect us, but as you know sooner or later the truth will always come out, and then will see who wins.
We appreciate your trust and I can assure you we will keep doing the BEST we can as ALWAYS because surgery is OUR PASSION but our patients are OUR LIVES.

So the above post was a Facebook message I received from Dr. Garcia himself when I mentioned that someone had heard negative things about him.
I love his honesty and I can say I have never been better taken care of than I was with him and his team.

I WANT TO SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOFTOPS!!!! I'VE LOST 100 POUNDS!!!!!!! OH YAAAAAAA!!!!
This will give me the courage and inspiration to lose the next 100. I'd take a picture but I've been sick for four days... maybe tomorrow!

Dr. Garcia and the entire staff a ready 4a change are amazing people. I'm post op day 4 and feel great. My nausea was horrible for about 2 days but the doctors were right there to help me. Rosie and Melissa have been like family!! The hotel is beautiful and my hubby had a great time hanging out with the hospital staff lol. I'm felling like myself again and on very minimal pain meds..just at night. I wouldn't have done this any other way and will forever be greatful for Dr Garcia.

I'm day 4 post op and have nothing negative to report. My revision was a great success. dr Garcia and the entire ready 4a change staff are amazing. The hotel is beautiful and now I feel like I'm on vacation. I would definitely book with them. My mom is now being scheduled for January. This is one of the best things I've done for myself.

Speaking of which...my poor husband has to take extra Vitamins and keep up on his fluids and electrolytes. I'm flat wearing him out. My sex drive has gone into super-hyper-speed-freaky-can't-get-enough mode.
So ladies.....if your libido is in the ditch....just wait.....just wait. (Oh, and exercise. A LOT).

ok if anyone has been reading my postings it shows how down ive been about my new stomach and my success. well i spoke to my nut today and told her whats been going on and she looked at my stats and said i am doing great. she says the average weight loss for sleeve is 30lbs in 3 months and im down 29lbs in 2 months. she also said to hide the scale because i obess with it daily.
so for those that feel like it aint working, its working. i feel so much better now that i spoke to her.
also i know we are here to support each other but some folks can be very judgemental and thats not cool. no one here is perfect and to come down on someone here is not nice. its cool to suggest and give positive advice but some ppl here are like police patrol. so before you are quick to judge anyone think about where you came from and ask yourself have you had any struggles, some ppl vent here because they have no one else to talk to and the last thing a person needs is someone judgeing them. i just wanted to say that.

My legs do not touch or rub when I walk! Not even the very tops of my thighs! Woohoo!

I used Ready4Achange (Alma) and Dr Garcia did my surgery. I am a week out (Nov 7th) and I can honestly say that the entire experience was amazing!! Mi hospital and staff have this procedure down to an art form. About 45 min after surgery you are up walking! I walked to the recovery room window and waved aty friend who had surgery right after me! This procedure/recovery was 1000 times easier than my c- sections. I strongly recommend this facility. They are AMAZING!!
