  1. I'm having the hardest time letting go of soda, Before my band, I could easily drink 4-6 cans a day, but, now I am down to 1 and have switched to coke zero. I must admit that I hate water & not big on juices either. For some reason, my soda addiction is harder to let go than the food one. Any suggestions?
  2. Wow, I feel the exact same way! At least we're not alone feeling this way....
  3. This is how I feel. I was banded on Oct 5, 2012 & there are times when I feel like I went thru all of hoopla for nothing. But, I will persevere. It took me years to reach this weight; so I must learn patience.
  4. No restriction at all prior to this fill. My dr doesn't use a fluoroscope. I am definitely going to ask them about on my next visit.
  5. I just got a fill today so I'm on protein shakes till tomorrow, but, so far I feel the same.
  6. Seriously, it took about 8 weeks before the gas FINALLY went away. Hope you feel better soon!
  7. While at my doctor's office today, I decided to ask how many cc's my band holds. She told me that I have a 14cc band, but, that they have never filled a band over 10cc. Is there anyone out there that has didn't hit the "green zone" until they got over 10cc's? I'm a little nervous about this since I'm already at 8.6cc's. Help!

  10. Good to know!
  11. Oh, thank God, I'm not the only one that feels this way. Having my 2nd fill today, but, so far I haven't noticed any restriction either. Hopefully, we'll all be in the "green zone" soon.
  12. Thank you. I needed to see this story. You have helped to encourage some people that you may never know. Congratulations!
  13. Is that the same thing as PB ing?
  14. Have the same concerns....help?
  15. Thanks for the replies everyone. My main issue was the pain in my stomach. I actually do have a high tolerance for pain; so for me to complain it really has been bothering me. I have been learning to how to eat & what foods don't work for me. I have also learned that I was waiting to long in between meals to eat....so hopefully, the pain will lessen.
  16. Is it normal to have these stomach/gas pains this long after surgery? My procedure was on Oct 5th and I was fine that 1st week...a little soreness but nothing major. But, OMG, that 2nd week the pains have been kicking my tail. I have been in so much pain from the gas that I am wondering if I made a mistake in having this surgery. Now I'm hearing that it could take up to 4 weeks for the this pain to go away. Is anyone else having this issue? Help?
  17. Ok, for a moment I thought something might have been wrong...I'm mostly sore around the port area than where the band actually is located. Thanks for the clarification.
  18. So sorry you were insulted by this unthinking idiot. Some people just don't think before they speak unfortunately. Rise above the stupid comments because thats what they are....stupid!
  19. Day 6 post-op....still a little sore but doing pretty well. I go for post-op appt with the dr on monday & then back to work. Good luck to all my fellow October banders!
  20. I decided to take the week off. My job is stressful enough without being in pain on too. Hope you feel better soon.
