  1. I definitely will. I felt that way thursday. Very surreal experience. Let us know how you're feeling as well. Good Luck!
  2. It's done. I'm officially banded as of yesterday. The pain hasn't been that bad. Surgery went smoothly and I'm a little sore. So, my question is what happens now? When do you start feeling like yourself? When do the fills start? So ready to get this weight off but we're going to do this the healthy way.
  3. 1 day post op. Ended up having to spend the night because my surgery got delayed by 3 hours, but, all in all, it wasn't a bad thing. Got some much needed rest & so far the pain has been tolerable. Thank God for pain pills, gas-x & heating pads. Hope everyone is doing well!
  4. Hi, I'm also being banded today. Nervous but excited. Wishing everyone all the best.
  5. As crazy as this may sound, I want to buy a shirt & not have to worry if its riding up because I don't want people to see my stomach. I want to be able to get on a rollercoaster with my god-kids & have the bar fit across my stomach comfortably.
  6. Surgery time is all set....10:15am this friday! Finished all pre-op blood work, paid my fees & pre-registered for admission....This is getting so real....a little scary but still exciting. I hope & pray for all of my fellow October Bandsters; may we all be successful, happy, healthy & definitely have little to no gas pain! LOL
  7. I don't think l have either. Have pre-op appointment today & surgery is friday!
  8. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to try that.
  9. I was just wondering about everyone's progress. I am having the hardest time finding a protein shake/drink that I can stomach. They either make me nauseous or the taste is disgusting. I don't know what to do.....
  10. How much weight were you expected to lose one the protein shake diet too?
  11. How much weight did you lose before being banded? Is there a certain amount of weight we're suppose to lose?
  12. Is this formula per day? I've seen some posts where it was said the body could on process 25 grams of protein a day....confused?
  13. My goals are 1) to not bust out sweating just walking across the room at my job, 2)for my knees, hips & feet to finally stop hurting and 3) to not always be the fattest person in the room!
  14. I am definitely in the same boat. Deep down I know this is the right decision cause I know I need help. I think its that fear of the unknown that gets me. Also, in an odd way, I feel like I have to say "goodbye" to an old friend....food. It has been my constant companion for many years now. It's a little bittersweet to see that way of life go away. But, I know its way past time for it to go. I have to give myself a break and realize that its ok to be scared. Major life changes can be scary!
  15. I was doing ok until today. The smell of these shakes is nauseating. So I'm going to regroup and try to find something that I can tolerate. Hope your doing better than I am....LOL!
  16. I'm Oct 5th. So excited and nervous at the same time. I've lost 7lbs so far on the pre-op diet & surprisingly, once I put my mind to it; it wasn't that hard. I went thru True Results in San Antonio. I wish all of the best of luck!
  17. I'm having mine done here in San Antonio. I'll be so glad when that part of this process is over.
  18. I'm having mine done here in San Antonio. I'll be so glad when that part of this process is over.
  19. I'm Oct 5th; so ready and excited. Good luck to all!
  20. I'm sorry that ypur said that to you. Some people just aren't that good at being supportive. Congratulations on your weight loss. You're doing great!
  21. Just wondering...how long did you stay in the hospital after being banded? If it was less than a day; do you felt you should have stayed longer?
  22. Good luck to you on your journey. I am being banded on Oct 5th. I also have been unable to get pregnant due to my weight. I was diagnosed with PCOS. So, it was recommended by the doctor to lose this extra weight. After struggling with diet after diet, I realized that I needed help. There are some great forums on here about conception & fertility while banded. Wish you all the best,
  23. Spoken like a true gentlemen. Well said!
  24. You'll rock it! Congrats!
