  1. What a great post! I totally relate. I remember my college roommate asking me how I dated such hot guys!! LMAO. I was like what because I am a size 18 and you are 8. Mind you she had a crappy attitude. I played softball, bowled, and was on stage in theater. If I had let my weight define me for all these years, I would have NEVER done anything. Especially with being heavy my whole life! The world defines fat people. I just think some people are more accepting of the definition.
  2. Yep, yep can of worms....you must'd missed the diet coke thread LOL!
  3. Hi Fiona! I am doing this abroad too and can understand your struggles. It is a totally different process and then you add the language component. I speak Spanish, but still like all my medical stuff in English! LOL. Wishing you luck!
  4. I did not realize you were so close!! Congratulations friend and keep me posted!
  5. I am a mother and a wife, but can not relate. However, I did want to comment. You are being selfish? Why because now you have chosen to concentrate on yourself? It sounds to me like they are trying to manipulate you into not doing something for yourself, so that they do not need to take care of responsiblities that you have always taken care of. We as moms always tend to take care of everyone elses needs forgetting our own. I am sorry that you are going through this. I hope that you decide to proceed on with the surgery. By investing in yourself you will be better all the way around. As far as your relationship with your husband, from what you are saying it doesn't seem like he has been supportive of other things in your life? I am just guessing based on your statement. Maybe it is time for some couples therapy to get to the root of the issue.
  6. What great progress. Congratulations!
  7. I see a big difference. You look great. Congratulations.

  11. Does it really matter what they say?! What are they gonna judge you for eating less? Do they know about your procedure?
  12. Yep, I have it too. Not sure what it is for. But I did notice in my PM it gives me the *****.
  13. Is there anything in your pre-op experience that you wish you had done differently?

Wow, thank you for sharing your story. You have a beautiful daughter. Congratulations on all your successes!
  19. My hubs is my rock. He has gone through Medifast, Nutrisystem, Low - Carb, Low-Fat, walking at 5 am outside, Walk Away the Pounds Video, Jillian Michaels and now this. He has gone to all my appointments and supports me with all his heart. I am so thankful to him.
  20. You look great! I just love supportive husband :-) You have done such a great job. Congrats!
  21. Wow, that is so sweet and so incredible and it brought tears to my eyes. You look amazing and so happy. You seem to have had an amazing, supportive husband. Which is the beauty of it all. Going down this road with the people that love you and care about you. Congratulations on making it to goal.
  22. I posted mine as 160, but that is still overweight for my height. I just can't imagine myself any smaller.
  23. So my surgeon had me do a bone density and body mass scan. Wow, what a shocker that was. All my life, people have told me I was "big boned" or I must have a large frame. So I went to pick up my results last night. This is my skeleton, looks pretty normal to me. My bones don't look big. They look normal with a whole lot of fat around it. At this point all I can do is laugh! Did any one else do this exam????? EDIT: trying to get the photo to post. I put it in my gallery.
