2 Weeks Post-Op And Refusing To Be A Mascot
I wonder if people that gain weight later in life are more likely to have this attitude. I have been fat since I was 6 so I just had to learn to live with it! I have friends that say they will not date until they lose weight!!

Are Any Of You Using A Doctor After Surgery?
oh wow....they are refusing to see you because they don't agree with the procedure? It seems odd that a doctor would just turn you down. Or they don't want to be responsible if you need further care? I hope you get a good answer on this one.

Need Sexy Legs Asap!
Yeah lunges and squats not good for bad knees. I would say walking on an incline. When I was using the treadmill on incline it is a great work out and not so hard on the joints. Some people would beg to differ and say walking outside is better. But I found on the treadmill it was much easier on my legs.

Plateau After Only Two Weeks?! Wtf!
I am so sorry you are having such a tough time. I have not yet had surgery, so my experience is none. However, the one thing I have gotten and understand since joining these boards is that the stalls are very common. Everyone that has expressed their experience with the stall have later came out and said that the weight does come off. I don't think I have read one post of a person that said they did not lose weight. Just think your body has gone through a tremendous transformation. You have to give it time to heal and figure out just what is going on. Please don't get discouraged. You will get through this period. I think mentally (because I am sure I will go through it) we think the weight is just gonna fall off. But our bodies are so much more complicated than that. I wish you luck. Happy Anniversary.

Hey Guys
Hi, I am new to the group and do not yet have a surgery date. I am hoping for September. Can you tell me how it has been with your hair loss? I am wondering if it worse for those that are relaxed vs. natural?

Too Small
I think my problem is I cannot invision what "small" is. I have never been "small." I was diagnosed as obese around age 6. I was always bigger than all my friends, the biggest on the softball team and an even bigger adult. I think I set my goal originally at 160lbs because I cannot imagine anything less. However, I know for my height 150# is a great target number. I just have no clue what it looks like. I think for ME having been obese (since childhood) the whole body image issues are extreme. I honestly have no clue what I should weigh or what looks appropriate. I figure I will take each day as it comes. Good luck on your journey!

What I Won't Miss....
-I will not miss my six year old telling me I have a big butt and when we fly she can put her arm rest down, because my butt is too big. -I will not miss looking into my closet trying to figure out what to wear. -I will not miss worry if I will fit into a chair. -I will not miss my 54" hips. -I will not miss working out and not seeing results. -I will not miss being heavier than my husband. -I will not miss feeling self conscience in my swimsuit. -I will not miss Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Always for Me, and the Avenue. -I will not miss my feet hurting from a 2" heel. -I will not miss feeling winded going up a flight of steps. -I will not miss people telling me I have such a pretty face.
