Inova Fair Oaks Hospital
@@sweettooth2015 The 2 week liquid diet is really tough, especially since we have to use Bariatric Advantage and can't mix anything (like fruit) with it. But, I see the end in sight. I feel slightly weak and foggy-brained, and OMG the gas! But overall I am feeling ok. Excited and nervous. Is it just shakes? Can we have hot tea? I heard the rooms are private. If you find out can you share! I wish you the best of luck

Mine is pending approval with FEPBLUE, we shall see

Approvals with BCBS Federal
So BCBS is showing it was submitted on the 11th. I was told it was going in on 3rd or 4th. So either it took BCBS that long to get it in their system or my drs office just submitted.... Either way it is looking like even the 14th of October is pushing it.

The Pitfalls of Snacking
Very awesome! Not to often do we see a guy blog about his weight loss much less bariatric surgery. So kudos to you. You are an awesome hubs for taking your wife to see Taylor Swift!

I Was Too Afraid...
I am honestly not worried about being too skinny. Losing weight with the sleeve was very difficult. I lost about 53lbs 10 of those were pre op from my surgery 10/1 to August. It was excruciating. I saw it in the photos but the scale was defiant. I was working out a lot and developed plantar fasciitis. I am pear shaped and from what I read the fat is a bit harder to lose. Whatever you decide it takes hard work and dedication. After all the work with my sleeve I don't expect it to be an easier journey just different.

I Was Too Afraid...
There are concerns with each surgery and complications. I just was more prepared going into my sleeve. I am now concerned about other things having RNY which would not be the case if this was my first surgery.

Pregnancy layer in life
I got pregnant post sleeve at 38. I had my sleeve when i was 37. I got pregnant 1 year post op. My gyn thought it would take longer. It didn't. I would not recommend it unless you are close or at goal. I have had so many issues post pregnancy and I am going in for revision. Be sure to try to wait the recommended time.

Star Jones weight gain (80 lbs)
Damn, if she looks dangerously overweight, I might need to plan my funeral.

Star Jones weight gain (80 lbs)
Yeah, I was gonna say in the most recent picture I have seen of her it did not look like she gained 80lbs.

I Was Too Afraid...
I had the sleeve in 2012. I was perfect sleeve candidate. I did not have GERD and no comorbities. I got pregnant post sleeve and I regained all my weight back. I have developed GERD and my sleeve is twisted. I also developed a hiatal hernia which I do not attribute to my sleeve. I am having revision surgery to RNY in October 3 years almost to the date of my sleeve surgery. Should have, would have, could have RNY to begin with. I never wanted to have a 2nd surgery. I do believe drs often times do not like performing sleeve on those with bad GERD to begin with. There are many successful sleevers and lapband to sleevers. Good luck in your decision.

Revision
I am converting from sleeve to RNY in October.

Approvals with BCBS Federal
It should not take then a month to notify that is crazy. I guess my coordinator expects a 2 week turn around because they have me tentatively scheduled based on it. The point of my post was what we talked about earlier, the office claiming they submitted and the insurance saying they have no record of my info.
-
Approvals with BCBS Federal
I just called precertification department and they have no record of receiving my paperwork. Looks like it will be the 14th vs. the 7th.

Husband rant!
If you don't care why bother commenting? Why waste your time commening on how youre not bothered? Laughable if it wasn't so pathetic. @@dhrguru If you want to talk about how you're weight loss has impacted on your relationship, or how its made you feel in your relationship feel free to do so. Some people just feel the need to add another tag on thier snarky jacket, so their gang can agree. Haha! Snarky Jacket . I love that Kate!

Husband rant!
Okay, so it's not something new. If it was then maybe we could say he jealous or worried about your new found body, but it's who he is. He must show love in other ways, hence why you have been married to him for 10 years! Keep doing you. He will hear others compliment you and he may or may not follow. You are doing great.

Husband rant!
There are some nasty people on this site. The very reason people cycle through so quickly. I asked a question, no need to get huffy and puffy. I swear I think so many on here must be miserable in their day to day lives because it shines through clearly.
