  1. It's a rant and rave section! So are there specific rants and raves that are allowed? She felt the need to rant. So she did.
  2. You would have to manually delete each post. What you can do is change user name and remove your photo. It is the reason I post very little information pertaining to myself including photos. Good luck!
  3. Something about this rubbed me the wrong way. Keep in mind that my vent here this is only a fraction of our life. It speaks nothing to how we've connected and grown as a couple or the life we've made for ourselves. There are many aspects where he's great, this whole WLS arena is new (for me and him) so it means finding our footing. If your life/relationship is pure rose petals and sunshine-- good for you-- but storms can and do come. Everyone weathers them differently. The only scale my husband will be meassred on is mine-- none other turly matter You're the one who said he was a jackass... now we can't agree with you?? Okayyyy. I never said i didn't call him that- and you'll see that I agreed with awjones when she characterized him the same. But I said *something* about VSGAnn's comment rubbed me the wrong way. Something-- some random unknown and possibly baseless reason... not solidified in fact or truth in any way, shape, or form. Maybe she's coming from the same exact mind set I was able to connect with awjones on-- but it just didn't come off that way to me. That's all. One said jackass, the other a*****e lol. Just because your husband is lacking in one arena that you find important doesn't diminish all the other ways he shows your love. That is the problem with venting online to strangers that know nothing about you and your complete story of life. They only hear a portion of what is going on. No one and no relationship is without fault. Did he compliment you pre-surgery on a new outfit or hairdo or new job?
  4. We might be at Fair Oaks at the same time.
  5. I am tentatively scheduled for 10/7 or 10/14. My information was submitted to insurance last week.
  6. For me my first reaction is sadness. I feel bad for the individual(s). I also wonder if people are in my grocery cart judging me. I actually have always shopped healthy especially since having children as I don't want them to suffer with weight issues. I always wonder at what point a person decides enough is enough. Edit to add: I could always be bigger, so I try not to past judgement.
  7. I am not on FB...I wish I could meet up but I got one kid in swimming and one in soccer so my weeks are booked between work, practice and games
  8. @@babbs2299 I am ODU grad so I know the area well. I love Tidewater. Yeah, I am paying back advanced sick leave from maternity and will not be done with that until PP 24! At 4 hrs a pp it takes forever! We have some financial commitments coming up and I don't see LWOP as an option. I am hoping for 10/7 so I get the holiday lol!
  9. Raises hand - my c-section especially the 2nd one was way worse than my sleeve recovery. I couldn't get out of bed for several weeks post c-section without help.
  10. My scars looked great initially and then formed keloids. I am hoping with revision they use same entry points and I can use some silicone patching to assist with the keloids.
  11. No, I think in have to pick it up right before I start. Who is doing your surgery?
  12. 4 weeks OMG!!! I think my diet is similar with the shakes and bars. It is costing me $300.
  13. @@395Ron what shakes are you doing? Thanks for the welcome!
  14. Congratulations!! Wishing you much success!
  15. I used to live in PG-Laurel....
  16. I am having revision from sleeve to bypass. My information was submitted to Federal BCBS yesterday. My date is tentative for 10/7 or 10/14. I am excited and nervous. I am a bit more nervous about revision than I was sleeve. I will have a 2 week prop diet using bariatric advantage. I heard its a bit nasty so not looking forward to that.
  17. OMG yeah LWOP is a beast! I may just ask for all advanced... It really sucks to be in a leave deficit. Maternity leave ate it up! I am ready too! Do you have a tentative date? Where are you having surgery?
  18. Thanks, I was out on maternity leave last year so I exhausted my leave and have about 27 hours of advanced leave I have to pay back. Between sick kids and snow days I am grasping for hours. One thing since becoming a parent my leave is not my own! I spoke to my boss and she is going to check with our 15 to see of I can work some comptime, in addiction I may take of LWOP and and the rest have advanced... Not having leave is so stressful.
  19. My surgeon is Dr. Halmi. Either 10/7 or 10/14 my paperwork was submitted to insurance today.
  20. Glad to hear your recovery went well. With the sleeve I was back in 2 weeks. I want to be out 4 for this surgery but don't have the time at work.,,
  21. Wow, you healed fabulously! You look amazing. I know it was not an easy procedure, but it look like it was well worth the outcome.
  22. @SleevenChica: You will do fine. I had my sleeve surgery in 2013 and a revision; RNY, just a month ago. For me, it feels totally different from the sleeve because with the sleeve I was able to do more in a short time. But I'm still getting used to the RNY. Good luck! Thank you! Has the recovery been more difficult thank the sleeve? How long were you out of work?
