  1. GERD is even if it's not listed. At least that is what my NUT told me. I am being revised because of it
  2. That is hilarious! Edit to add: you don't look old enough to have a 14 year old!!! :-)
  3. I got pregnant 11 months post sleeve and have a healthy 16 month baby girl. I started showing at about 17 weeks. I did not lose weight and have struggled with some late term complications. The surgeon does not know if they are related to my pregnancy or not. I have seen many posts with women who do really well getting pregnant and continue to lose after giving birth. I am having revision surgery this month. Edit to add: I was not at or near goal when I got pregnant. I had lost 43lbs post surgery and gained that back during pregnancy.
  4. I am revising from sleeve to bypass. I developed severe GERD post sleeve. I did not have GERD prior to Sleeve.
  5. So happy to hear! You will do great tomorrow.
  6. Thanks for putting the list together!
  7. Try to get yourself together for tomorrow. You will need your rest and energy for healing. I hope you can work through what happened today. I would just reiterate to him that you are nervous and did not mean to take it out on them. Heck, that preop diet can put the nicest of people on the edge! I wish you the best. Please let us know how your surgery goes.
  8. I am so sorry you are going through this! Is your husband not speaking with you because you are having surgery? You guys gotta talk before you go into surgery. Has he not been supportive this entire time?
  9. I am not sure of the copy and paste is working. If you want everyone in box me your date besides those that already posted and I will update it.
  10. @ here all the insurance guidelines. You could go ahead and consult with your PCP while starting with your surgeon your weigh history can come from any of your drs

  12. My experience was a bit different since I am a revision patient. I went to a seminar years ago went they were all one group. It was very informative. All my nutrition appts have been web based besides the initial 2 hour appt with behavior specialist and nutritionist. My insurance was approved 1st round. She is very detailed but I bugged her lol. They tell you all the prices upfront which I like. They do make you by preop diet from them and post op vitamin pack. The office is very nice and the ladies that work in the office super nice. They do have support groups held at Sentara Potomac. I know people that have had surgery with Dr. M (cousin) and Dr Halmi (BFF) I hear great things about both. I am not sure why the practice split. I am having surgery on the 21st of October.
  13. @ I am near Woodbridge and having my surgery at INOVA FAIR OAKS. I went with Bluepoint Medical Associates. They are in Lake Ridge. All my appointments are in Lake Ridge. Let me know if you have specific questions.
  14. You probably have a copay. I surprised they didn't tell you about shake and all those cost upfront as those are the surgeons requirements and not so much the insurance.
  15. @babb2299 that's right, I lived in Norfolk for undergrad. No my dr did not have me lose weight. Actually I have gained about 7lbs.
  16. I have been looking for these. Can you only order them online?
  17. Yeah! Our insurance rocks!!!! So mine took 6 business days. However, they didn't even look at it the 1st 5 days. It went in on the 11th and I called 21st. The rep told me that the dr. just got it that day and approved it. I really think the key is having a good insurance coordinator. Mine wanted my packet to be very detailed. I think that keeps the insurance from coming back asking more questions holding up the process. @@babbs2299 keep us posted! Where are you guys again?
  18. I had my preop and Monday I go I for abdominal sonogram, lab work and EKG. I picked up by Bariatric Advantage. Pre op diet starts on 10/7. My surgery is at 1 pm. My husband has decided to do green smoothies with me and will fast I my day prior to surgery with me. He did all this with me the 1st go round. He was like 1pm surgery, we are gonna need prayer! I went in with a list of questions and he answered each one. He was very reassuring.
  19. One of my favorite Christmas movies!
  20. See how nervous I was I wrote your name wrong! Thanks for the response. I have heard the Vitamin situation is hard in the beginning. What to take when, when to drink, no Iron with Calcium (I think) it is all so confusing. My dr's office makes you by a vitamin pack from them initially. I have my preop today with tons of questions! I don't have my next NUT appt until the 10th. I can understand the nervousness and excitement.
  21. @@babbs2299 I think you will be ok!
  22. It made me nervous being that I am a revision patient! I was thinking does my dr think I am gonna need 7 days!!! Lol How's preop going?
  23. I was approved, my surgery is 10/21. I have preop tomorrow. BCBS approved a 7 day stay which has me freaked out a bit.
