  5. 7 weeks post-op. Down 39 lbs (including 2 week preop diet). Still throwing up my Vitamins, but otherwise doing well. Back to Dr M's office in 2 weeks. Hope they are happy with my progress.

  8. @SleevenChica. I had surgery 9/21 and got a private room. But I understand that is not always the case, some are shared.
  9. @@sweettooth2015 yes. Give the handwritten pain med Rx to your nurse. And the doc can send all the others directly to the hospital pharmacy. They will bring them to your room before you go. But make sure you have a credit card to pay for them. Good luck!

  13. For Dr M the 2 week pre-op for sleeve is 4 shakes, 2 bars, 1 banana OR 1 cup of milk, up to 3 SF jello/popsicle. Calorie free drinks (like unsweetened tea, crystal light, etc) are ok. Need to get the 64 oz of Fluid in each day. I have lost 11.5 pounds so far. 4 more days to go. Lately I have been mixing the shakes with about 5oz of Water, then adding that to hot water. Seems a little easer to get down that way. Good luck friends!

  15. @sweettooth2015 The 2 week liquid diet is really tough, especially since we have to use Bariatric Advantage and can't mix anything (like fruit) with it. But, I see the end in sight. I feel slightly weak and foggy-brained, and OMG the gas! But overall I am feeling ok. Excited and nervous.

  17. Does anyone know if the hospital rooms at Fair Oaks are private or shared? Thanks.

  27. Oh! @scoutmom Yes, she is awesome! :-)
  28. @MKinNOVA Who is Seana? Is she at Dr M's office? Thanks!
  29. @scoutmom Thanks so much for the great information. And congratulations on your success. Love the part about sleeping better and waking up rested.
  30. Wow, that stinks. Pam laid out the costs for me at my first appointment.
  31. Thanks @scoutmom. I had my initial consultation with Dr M about 3 weeks ago. I get a very good feeling from him and Pam. If insurance approves, surgery will probably be in Sept. How are you feeling? Were you able to walk the same day? Do you like the Bariatric Advantage shakes, etc?
