May bypass
Hello everyone. I’m so glad to see this forum. I’m planning a revision to the mini bypass as well. I was originally sleeved in 2013. As with everyone else, I’m plagued with heartburn and weight gain. I’m planning to self pay and return to my original surgeon. I’m hoping to have my surgery sometime this summer.

Prayer Pre And Post Surgery
I'm Feb 26, and I am asking my VST family to lift me up in prayer also. I'm am a Christian and true believer in God. Without him and his word (my foundation) where would I be. I too am praying for those who have gone before me and those going after me. I ask for healing and deliverance from obesity and sickness.

Prayer Pre And Post Surgery

Great job! I know it feels fabulous to succeed at weight loss!- No More Hospitals!
Hi Melissa! It's so good to hear that you are doing better! I wondered about you and how you were coming along. It sounds as if it's been a difficult road for you. "I spend 3 days a week with a physical and occupational therapist, gaining strength and learning to walk again", man that is serious. I almost don't know what to say besides I'm so happy that you are doing better. I have not had the VSG procedure yet, so I have no advice on the dry heaving or vomiting. I pray that those symptoms soon go away. I'm always here with a listening ear if you need to vent/talk. Take care and I will keep you in prayer.SweetTee started following slimshadychickSweetTee started following SLEEVEDNBEAUTIFULSweetTee started following New York BeautySweetTee started following flawlessly73- C-Section Vs Sleeve Pain
I've had 4 c-sections, an appendectomy, a cholecystectomy, and a laparoscopic hysterectomy. I am extremely nervous about possible scar tissue and the sleeve being a lot harder because of it. For those of you that have had the sleeve already did your procedure take longer? Was your recovery harder? I think it was easier for me to get up and move after my 1st c-section because u knew that moving would help my recovery move along faster.- Marriage & Vsg...
First let me start off by saying that I do not condone drug use of any kind. I hear you saying that he's changed and left the drug usage alone however he still smokes weed? Isn't weed considered a drug? In all actuality that would mean he's still on drugs, right? I can only assume that this must mean he was doing some harder drugs at one time. How will you feel about him doing this around your baby once you guys do manage to conceive again, because If he's ready for a family, he has to ask himself if the marijuana usage is more important to him than you. Second, let me say that I try to never tell a married person to leave their spouse. Many people will have various opinions, but the vows you made were for "better or for worse" and I do believe that people can change if they want to. You said that he changed and left the other drugs alone, so I have to believe that he could also leave the marijuana alone. Living with others can place a strain on a marriage. Especially if your family feels compelled to comment on things going on between you guys. But just being totally honest with you, he sounds very immature and a bit controlling if he doesn't want you to spend time with your family, hell you're living with them! How could you possibly not spend time with them? And he's arguing with you cause he can't smoke weed. He shouldn't want to smoke weed in your parent's house out of respect for them and their property! I'm sure he knows that they would not approve. I'm sure he does feel trapped. Hopefully you guys can get your own place sometime soon. Sit your husband down when the two of you can talk rationally and explain to him how you feel. Listen to his concerns and let him know that you are dedicated to this marriage 100%. Explain to him that you understand that he may feel trapped, but you appreciate him making this effort to make the best out of your living situation. Most men need to feel needed. Maybe he feels as if you don't need him since you're with your family now. Mostly explain to him that you don't want to keep argueing. Sometimes in the heat of an arguement, it's best to say "Baby, I love you, but I don't want to keep argueing with you right now." and walk away and give both of you time to calm down. Once you've stepped back, you can sometimes look at things better and think rationally. I pray things get better, because right now you should be focused on recovery. Good luck and God bless.- The Weirdest Dream!
Good for you, keep that positive mindset! Maybe some of it will rub off over here on me, LOL. I keep telling myself that all will be well, but the little voice in my head creeps in sometimes saying "what if you have a problem". I'm binding all of that negativity up in the name of Jesus and dismissing it from my mind. It's good to know that I'm not alone in the second guessing of myself sometimes. By next October, and hopefully 100lbs lighter, I want to look back on this day with a smile thinking about how far I have come.- 135 Since My Surgery On 12/19/12
I have to keep telling myself that I will not be able to eat the same. The strangest thing is until I started to see myself in pictures and seriously consider WLS, I didn't realize I had a problem with food. I guess I was so far in denial about my weight and especially about my poor eating habits. In my mind I didn't think I ate that much, but now that I'm waiting on surgery, I realize that I will snack all day (Cookies, chips, cheese, sodas) in addition to eating three overly proportioned meals! I know that this will be a hard road to travel, but I know that it's able to be traveled by interacting with people such as yourself. When I read success stories and see pictures and the smiles on poeple's faces, I realize that IT IS POSSIBLE! And I know by following the BLOGS and posts that it comes by hard work and perseverance, that's why I'm so thankful to you and all the others for sharing your experiences. My hubby has always been thin. He lifts weights and exercises daily, so he can't understand my struggle. Although he's very supportive, he just can't relate to being overweight. I lean on this forum for knowledge and support and I am so thankful for you guys. - 3 Months Post Op W/ Pics *before & After*
