Congratulations on your pregnancy and your weight loss!!

I am currently 123lbs, 8lbs more then what i was when my husband met me! 2lbs less then what i weighed when i got pregnant with my first child and feel great and now, i am expecting! I am absolutely on cloud 9 because even though i know this pregnancy will be a struggle since my stomach is a 80% smaller then when it was with my first, i know that it also will help me from gaining too much. I have actually lost 9lbs since i found out i was pregnant at 3wks 2days! Doctor says ecerything looks great just uped the Vitamins and Proteins and said follow OBGYN orders...so far healthy little babe growing in this belly!

Hi all! It has been a long time. I have been busy with life. I am now down 100 pounds. I am SO thrilled! I love the way I feel. I love the way I am starting to look. I love it all! I am so grateful for the sleeve. It has changed my life. I feel so blessed to have had the surgery. It is Amazing! I can't say enough good things about it. I LOVE it!

This is my thought for the day! I usually weigh myself every monday! i try not to weigh in every day because I know the weight flucuated and could get frusterating, however i purchased a new scale.. a digital one and so now i have one in my house on hand when i want to weigh in... I weighed myself the day I purchased the scale (sunday) then weighed myself again on tuesday... well the scale jumped up 2 pounds.. This is the 1st time since surger (4/27/12) that I actually stepped on the scale and saw it move upwards instead of down wards.
Yes i know this isnt a big deal and yes i know our weight fluctuates but for me it was just a huge shock to see the scale move up!!!
I started my journey at 245 and now weigh in at 158. i am 5'5. if anyone out there is near these #'s i would love to know what weight you are at now post surgery as everyone keeps asking me what my goal weight is but i have no clue!!! what should my weight be?? what i am gearing up for? should i be okay at 158 or will that scale possibly keep going down. I know everyone is differnt i am just trying to get an idea..

I'm 6 months out too, with similar stats! High weight: 220, surgery day: 190, current weight: 142. No regrets either!

Im down 62lbs!!!!! I feel great! Best decision I have ever made!

I am almost four months out and corn is still on my No list. But when I eat mixed veggies, I do eat the corn.

U may find telling your cousin is easier then covering it up. My dad the exact thing to me. He called me the following morning to let me know he told my aunt who lives across the street to check on me during the day and told her why. Grrr when he called to tell me she would be checking on me and that he told her why i told him dad you know i told you i didnt want anyone knowing. He apologized but nine the less she was very supportive and the rest of her family too. Then this past sunday was my lil sisters bday party and i felt all eyes were on me. Everytime u shook someones hand hello they did not look at my face they looked straight at my stomach. I was so annoyed and wanted to snap at them and ask them all what they were looking at. I kept tryibg to think of what i would say if they asked me about a rumor going around about me having surgery. All i could think of was to just be upfront who cares. Im down 25lbs and nothing anyone says to me now about surgery matters. Later that eveing sure enough two of my cousins asked me and i said yes and im very happy. Next thing you know one is asking for all the info cause she wants to do it too. The other said if she had the $ she too would do it. Lol so you never know what to expect.
Btw one of my aunts asked me if i had lost weight i said yes i have thank you for noticing gave her a smile and kindly slipped away. I could tell she knew. Lol im sure my whole family knows they all are nothing but gossip.

I was having trouble getting my liquids in. I was a person who has never drank enough Water to before surgery with, but I wanted to be better after surgery. Plus it helps you to lose weight. I'm 3 weeks out and I felt like there weren’t enough hours in the day to get all the fluids in without being able to drink 30 mins before, during, or after a meal until I did a schedule for liquids just like for my food. Ever since then I haven’t had trouble and have even started drinking a little more than 64 ozs! I just put 13 or 14 oz of Water in my bottle add ½ a pack of lemon iced tea flavored crystal light and a slice of lemon and I know that’s exactly how much I have to drink in an hour and a half. It doesn't look or sound so overwhelming as 64 oz. Here’s my schedule:

Food:
8:30 bfast
11:30 snack
2:30 lunch
5:30 snack
8:30 dinner (I know that is late but that’s when my hubby gets home so it works for me)

Fluids:
9:30-11:00- 13 oz
11:00-12:30- No drinks zone
12:30-2:00- 13 oz
2:00-3:30- No drink zone
3:30- 5:00- 13 oz
5:00- 6:30- No drink zone
6:30-8:00- 13 oz
8:00- 9:30- No drink zone
9:30- 11:00 13 oz

Goal was to at least be in the 170s and i weighed in at 179.6 this morning!! Whoo hoo! Lol i tried all week to get there and nothin...the scale didnt move but then i wake up this morning and there it is! So excited!

1. Your neck.
2. Your collar and cheek bones.
3. Your vagina (or penis) and not in the mirror!
4. A towel wrapped all the way around you.
5. People checking you out.
6. A lower grocery bill.

Sigh I know how you feel I his all summer long at my house, just relaxing with the kids poolside..saw a bunch of moms the other day from school not one said anything....I lost 90 pounds ! people suck lol

I have had a mostly Positve experience telling most people. I found that telling my coworkers actually took a lot of pressure off of me... And when they see me eating strange... They know why and don't question me. Perhaps I just work with a lot of good people (social workers). They would occasionally joke with me and ask me what I was having for lunch... A Water sandwich? But that was funny to me.
Don't get me wrong... I have experiences some annoying things... Like a few select people are always asking me how much I have lost and what can I eat now... Asking me several times a week
But most people are very supportive and positive

Yes they took mine out on my one week follow up and covered my incisions with sterie strips and it took close to three weeks for them to fall off
