  1. Diddo on everything you said. I have had exact experience. Lol and like you i laugh with them when they make a silly joke about what im having for lunch. And like you idk why it bothers me so much, especially when my sister ask me being since she hasnt once said wow your looking great (hubby says he thinks shes jealous lol hes crazy) i guess when they ask how much ive lost...maybe i fear their thinking "is that it?" since my one week preop diet (surgery aug 7th) i have lost a total of 24lbs. im sure to some who are uneducated would think is that all youve lost? But to me its a great amount especially since my hubby compliments me EVERYDAY.
  2. I just realized that my plan says i can have pureed/soft foods. Any ideas as far as the soft foods? Also does this include fruit? I so desperately want cantelope or grapes.
  3. Yes they took mine out on my one week follow up and covered my incisions with sterie strips and it took close to three weeks for them to fall off
  4. I see mine sept 11th ill do the same! And good luck to you as well!!! And yes losing something is better then nothing Btw nice to meet you" ttys
  5. Ive had both and neither one has given me any problems. Just start off little by little and then when you see if it sits well then add more. I too am part mexican and i absolutely love limon and salsa! I feared i would never get to have spicy foods again but so far so good. Im making some yummy salsa roja right now and i cant wait to have me a lil on my food.
  6. Im right there with you... I was sleeved the same day. Only thing is im having a veey hard time getting in all my Protein, calories, and fluids in. I feel like im failing at this... I know it will all get better but i definitely feel like my sleeve is a full time job right now :-\ i dont think ive lost more since my one week follow up idk. I know im still losing inches cause i can see it in my clothes but its a mental thing i guess when lbs arent being lost. What do you eat to get all your calories in? How is your routine of how you get what you need in a day? Im struggling so much because i get full so quick like 4 tiny bites of refried Beans and im full. :-\ at this rate ill never get all my calories in. And then the whole waiting time to eat and drink makes it hard for me to get all my liquids in.
  7. Is it normal to just break down and cry at any moment and time. I just dont know why i have so many mixed emotions one minute im good the next im down. I guess you are right its just a whole different ball game. I absolutely hate food right now... I have to make myself eat. I also have in the back of my mind that i am going to fail and never reach my goal. I guess mainly because i am such a picky eater. The only veggies i really eat is corn or potatoes. So knowing that i need to eat healthier foods scares me into thinking i wont succeed. I dont understand ive never eaten healthy my whole life and was always very skinny and yet once i had my son i could get the weight off no matter what i did. Its all so stressful
  8. I found these size 6 pair of navy blue pants on a sale rack at Old Navy for 97¢ a little over a year ago...I bought them knowing I would never fit into them but figured wow you cant beat that price brand new not even at a second hand store. I bought them brought them home in hopes of finding someone that could use them. I never did. So now i have made it my goal to fit in these pants within my first year post op! My highest weight since starting with my WLS is 203 current weight 183. My ideal goal is anywhere from 120-130 i would be happy. Weight I should be according to charts for a 5'0 female age 23 is 100lbs. There is no way i want to be that small. My highest weight all the way up until i got pregnant with my son was 115lbs(after that i never even got back down even close to that number) four yrs later i decided enough was enough and im living in a body i will never ever accept or be comfortable in because its just not me! I think i made a great decision with WLS but it has been so hard tryin to figure out who i am, why i feel so down when i should be feeling great. Its almost like ive fallen deeper into depression then what i already was pre op. Feeling a little lost these past couple of weeks :-\
  9. Thank you...it was from one day to the next. I mean nothing a lil makeup cant help cover up lol ive gotten used to not having to wear makeup all the time but the redness from my breakout has bothered me so i make sure i put it on as soon i freshen up in the mornings. I hope my body figures it all out sooner then later :-\ thank you for the quick response :-D
  10. Since ive had surgery i have broken out on my face. I havent broken out like this since my early teens. I hate it. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? It makes me feel so insecure :-\
  11. Awesome thank you i will definitely ask my doctor about this on Monday.
  12. What is the best tylenol to take for headaches post op?
  13. My doctor used to tell his patients no to sodas but after long research he has now said no carbonated drinks for the first 4 weeks. Dr Barker is a huge soda pop person himself and said that he can not see telling his patients that never ever again can they have a soda and that after his research he has found that having a soda once in a while doesnt hurt.
