  1. I had no problem with pizza or anything else for that matter. I have not had a fill yet and definitely need one. Stacy
  2. I would recommend Dr. Ortiz at Obesity Control Center. His website is www.obesitycontrolcenter.com. I had an excellent experience there! Stacy
  3. I went with Dr. Ortiz and was very pleased. He has done over 4,500 lapband procedures and is just a great guy. His staff also was awesome!
  4. Thank you everyone for your support. I really appreciate it! Stacy
  5. I am depressed. This Friday will be three weeks I've been banded and I don't feel good at all. food can't comfort me anymore and it doesn't even taste the same anyway. I just don't know how to make myself ok without food. First was my addiction to drugs and alcohol, but I've been clean 5 years from that now trying to jump this hurdle just seems so overwhelming. If anyone feels this way or has been through this it would be nice to hear from you. Thank you for your support.:cry Stacy
  6. I'm not sure but I think I got one too! Very mild one though so I'm not sure.:omg: Stacy
  7. It's probably more gas than anything. I felt like I was starving the first few days, but now that I am 2 weeks post-op I'm not that hungry at all. It's different for everyone though. Stacy
  8. My doctor did require a pre-op diet and is one of the most experienced in the world. He has performed over 4,500 lapband surgerys. He also proctors many surgeons all over the world. It does not have to do with his experience. Stacy
  9. Welcome Sandy! Keep us posted on your progress. Stacy
  10. My first week after being banded I had diarrhea. Tomorrow will be two weeks and now I can't go to the bathroom at all. I don't know what to make of it, but I know it will pass! Stacy
  11. I was banded on the 16th of March and I still have a little gas I think. It won't come out though. It's stuck in my stomach and moves around, but it won't come out. In the beginning I thought I was hungry but I know now I am not. This is my first surgery and this is quite an experience. Stacy
  12. I take 15 pills a day. I used to be able to swallow 4 or 5 at a time, now I just take each one individually and have not had a problem. Let's see how it goes after I get a fill! Stacy
  13. I take about 12 pills at night and 3 in the morning and have not had a problem getting them down. I too was worried about this and stopped taking my meds after the surgery but I started to get more depressed, so I decided to just go for it. Stacy
  14. I was banded by Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana and the cost was $8500. That covered 2 nights in a 5 star hotel, surgery, transportation and 1 night hospital stay. The hospital was awesome and so was the staff and surgeons.
  15. Dr. Ortiz wrote a book and I think it's called Lapband For Life. Stacy
  16. I was there with you! How are you doing? I hope all is well! Stacy
  17. I had surgery in Mexico eight days ago. I would recomend it highly. I paid $8500. I loved the attention and care I recieved there. If you want more info the website is www.obesitycontrolcenter.com. The surgeon was awesome, as was the staff.
  18. I was banded on 3/16 and I too have had the chills but no fever. It seems I am always cold. Stacy
  19. I have to go to Mexico, but for me it's no problem because I live 10 minutes from the clinic. I'm just one of the lucky ones. I love Dr. Ortiz! Stacy
  20. I went to Mexico and my price includes the fills. I just pay $100 for flouro(spelling?). Stacy
  21. I am right there with you. I am so hungry and these Soups are not doing a thing for me, except diahrrea(wrong spelling). I feel so guilty for eating a little more or more often. I feel that I paid for this and I should be trying harder but I can't get the hunger to go away. I was on a three week pre-op diet and now this. I am just depressed I can't eat. This will pass. Thanks for the support. Stacy
  22. You are so right on. I am 4 days post-op depressed and angry. I'm bored out of my mind and all I can think of is food! I know I'm not really that hungry. It's times like these that I really realize how much I depended on food to make things better or to make me feel good. I never knew how much it meant to me. I am also a recovering alcoholic/drug addict, sober now about 5 years and I can say my addiction with food is much stronger. This will pass you are right. Stacy
  23. Ditch Him! You deserve better.:gluck:
  24. I never did quit smoking and everthing went just fine. It may not be the same for everone, but I just could not quit. I smoked the day after too and I feel just fine, but that's just me.
