anyone know???

My Mom wants to have the lapband, but has no insurance, and is a cash patient. We live in southern california, and I found a few doctors who are willing to do the surgery for 17k, which as a cash patient is too much. Do any one of you guys know a GOOD Dr. that will do it for a cheaper price with financing? I have seen ads for 13k but they are in Florida. Thanks.

There are alot of people that are self pay that go to Mexico fo there surgery and are very well satisfied, I think it is about $8500 down there, if you browse around this site you will find out more about it.

good luck to your mom

Mexico is a great alternative. I would start another thread "surgeons in Mexico" to see what response you get. YOu will save a ton of money and they are very reputable. Good luck.

Hi,

8950 Covers The Surgery And The 2 Nights In A Hotel And 2 Nights In The Hospital. I Flew A Friend To Be With Me From Georgia So With The Airfare, Meals For Her And Basic Purchases I Have About 10,000 Invested In My Body. I Will Also Invest Another 1000 Or So This Year For Fills By A Local Doctor.

And All Of This Is Tax Deductible Which I Need!!!!!!!!;):D

I was banded by Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana and the cost was $8500. That covered 2 nights in a 5 star hotel, surgery, transportation and 1 night hospital stay. The hospital was awesome and so was the staff and surgeons.
