  2. So is this true for all protein shots or just this specific brand? Are there any worthy protein shots?
  3. Hi there! Congrats! I was also sleeved on June 11th, and my starting weight was 250 as well! I am down 47lbs, kind of been stuck at 203 for about 2 weeks... but will hopefully be there soon! Enjoy the 100's...you will never see a 2 in front of your weight again! That alone is enough to make me happy I have the sleeve! Can't wait to join you!
  4. Before/after Progress Pic @ 3 Months & -47 Lbs First time in a while that I feel slightly ok with getting in front of the camera, so I don't really have a good before body picture. 5ft 3in SW 250 / CW 203 VSG 6/11/12 Before Before/side profile After (During)/side profile After (During)
  5. Excited for you! I'll be there myself within days and I can't wait!
  6. Great job! What was your starting weight?

  8. You guys were right... I went to Target today and bought some new jeans, two sizes smaller than I was pre surgery. I could definitely see a difference when I was wearing them, and it cheered me up a little. It's crazy how wearing the same clothes will keep you from seeing the changes! I didn't want to buy any new stuff until absolutely necessary, because I really don't have much money. That was great though
  9. Thanks for all the encouragement! You guys are awesome... This is really helpful to hear.
  10. I have lost 43 lbs, from 250-207, which is awesome, but I really can't see a difference and I am still wearing all the same clothes (albeit, with a belt). Its just really discouraging to have done so much work and still be a big fat person. No one has noticed or said anything. Although, i think if they did i would be embarrassed. The few people I have told that I lost 40 lbs, they give me a look like I am lying and they size me up and down. I have still so far to go, I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I just have a hard time believing I will ever get there... Like, I'll just stop losing at some point, or the surgery won't work anymore, etc. I dream about having confidence and self-esteem again, but in my head, there's no way it could ever happen for me. The other thing is, I know that even if I lose weight, my body is still gonna look like ****, and I'm still going to hate myself. I don't have any money for plastics. I want to be beautiful. I want a taste of what that feels like. I'm sorry to be a downer today.
  11. You look awesome!! How much did you lose? Do you have any sagging skin?
  12. I read this all the time but I have never had that problem and I have never been able to get away with eating only 500 cals a day. This kind of worries me. As soon as I started on solids (about 3 wks out) I found it impossible not to get in at least 1000 cals a day. I am 2 months out now. I can eat about 4 oz of meat in one sitting. I usually eat chicken, cheese, deli meat, carrots and yogurt ranch, flatbread pizza, salad, etc. I pretty much eat whatever I want, but just smaller "normal" portions. I do eat something every few hours, though because I get hungry. The calories add up fast if you account for everything, which I do. That means if you used olive oil to sauté your chicken you count those calories, etc. Hearing how everyone can only eat 400-800 calories a day makes me feel like there is something wrong with my sleeve or I stretched it out. Idk. Is anyone else similar?? At least I am losing though...40 lbs in 2 months - not too shabby.
  13. I usually eat about 1000-1100 cals a day. 2 months out and losing steadily.
  14. Thanks everyone. I know I haven't been eating much grain/fiber trying to stay away from carbs. I need to probably up my water intake too. I read to use vitaman E oil, and I also bought some Tucks stuff. Hopefully I will have some relief soon.
  15. Tried the Preperation H Cooling Gel the past couple days, doesn't seem to help at all. I don't have a Dr (had surgery in MX).
