  1. I have the same issue. I hate waxing . It irritates my skin badly. I had laser hair removal and it came back. I bought a No No and it keeps it more under control without the irritation of shaving and waxing. I hope that as I lose more weight the hair follows .
  2. I am 28 and have a crunchy knee. I fell your pain. I finally went to the Dr a few years ago after a year of pain. After a few weeks of physical therapy I learned how to help my lnee but it will never be 100 or even 80% again.I would say stop the stuff that Hurts or produces the crunching sound and see the Dr so they get it properly diagnosed and your doing more harm than good
  3. I was banded in May and got a fill at the time of surgery. I have been back to the Dr. twice since then for check ups and he said as long you are satisfied 3-4 hours between meals there is no need for a fill. He said when you are hungry every two hours then he will do a fill.
  4. See your doctor right away! I can't stress that enough. If you can not eat or drink anything you will become sick quickly especially while pregnant and waiting might have disastrous effects for you and your unborn baby.
  5. Bowling and mini golf. Kids love it and I am tired by the end
  6. 9lbs is awesome and remember the first weeks are for healing. Don't stress yourself about not losing enough just yet. At my six weeks I lost 20lbs and I didn't really feel like I lost that much. My doctor was so excited that I lost that much weight so I say 9 lbs is still super awesome.
  7. I must say that I didn't know a life where date night for me and the Mr. didn't involve going to a restraint , eating delicious often cheesy greasy food until we were stuffed and going home and passing out because we were to fat and tired to do anything else. I eat chocolate sometimes . I drink a glass of wine occasionally. The only thing I feel deprived of is all the years that I spent fat and embarresed of my body. The only thing I regret is trying all the other diets pills and fads before sucking it up and doing the lap band.
  8. You guys look so wonderful. Congratulations!
  9. Thanks for all the tips. I am not worried about it right now and h e been doing other exercises but o was just wondering because every person is different and their instructions from the doctors are usually different.
  10. I went home same day of surgery and then had two days off before I went to work. It wasn't alot of fun ? But I made it. Gotta do what you gotta do.
  11. How long after surgery did you start doing an abdominal workout?
  12. My Dr recommends kashi Go Lean with the clusters. Just remember that it depends on what part of the diet you are on. Prob won't be so great if you are just starting.
  13. You will be fine. I did a liquid diet two days pre op and weighed exactly the same as my first dr appointment two weeks earlier. I was worried about the same thing but I had no problems. Every person is different. Think positive thoughts and try your best to get rest so your body can heal after you get your band.
  14. What are the top three things that you are looking forward to post lap band? Or if you have had it what were your top three favorite things?
  15. Muscle milk has no milk
  16. I had my surgery may 15. It's been a good month. Down 20 lbs and after awhile it's really routine.
  17. I am in the almost exactly the same boat. My husband doesn't quite understand because to him I should be comfortable around him no matter what. I am comfortable but it's hard when you know things are shaking that shouldn't be. as for lose skin I will worry about that when it comes. Nothing wrong with a little nip and tuck and enhancement.
  18. Congrats! The liquid phase gets better. The first week is the hardest. I drink muscle milk light. 100 calorie and 15 grams of protien and low sugar. They taste pretty good and I can pick them up at Walmart. I wish you the best of luck on your journey!
  19. I was banded May 15th and lost 20 Lbs post op
  20. I drink muscle milk light. It taste good and is low in calories, sugar and fat. It also has a good amount of protien. I take a regular multi vitamin.if it is too big you can always get a pill cutter. I stopped drinking soda two weeks before surgery cold turkey. I had a nasty headache for three days and I wanted soda like there was no tomorrow , but I figured better to go thru withdrawals before surgery than while your body is trying to heal afterwards.
  21. I buy Muscle Milk Light from Walmart. It is ready to drink and comes in four pack. I love not having to mix them. They are low in fat and 100 calories. I also buy Jay Robb protien powder from Fry's or Kroger. It taste good an they have a few different flavors.
