Yeah all u have to do is have the pic u want to use in ur camera roll then click on ur gray pic on Lapband forum and a option box will pop up that asks if u want to take a pic or choose from library click choose from library and click on the pic u want. Hope this helps

I love this forum I'd be so lost without y'all. :-) I really like strax it's just I always feel a little rushed when I go so I never get all my questions out or answered. Idk why they didn't give me any other options for protein I didn't even know there were any other options till I found this forum. I'm going to go to Walmart and target and look for all these different protein options and try several out. Thanks again everybody!!!

Hi I'm Sammatha and I was banded 2/24/12. I had my surgery at strax rejuvenation in lauderhill FL. Strax makes u buy Bariatric advantage meal replacement protein powder to make protein shakes with. Well they're $85 a bag and I bought 2 bags vanilla and iced latte flavors. I had to drink them for two weeks pre op for all three meals and nothing else and I'm supposed to be drinking 2 of them a day right now. But the thought of drinking one more makes me gag. Please anybody, do u have names of protein powders or shakes that I could buy at walmart or target that are really high in protein and not crazy with to many calories or fat. And also some that aren't $85 a bag. I know that I need to be getting more protein in my diet but I just can't stand the taste of vanilla or latte right now and strax only recommends their affiliated Bariatric products and I just can't waste another $85 dollars on something I'm not going to finish. Hey all. I'm 22 and had my surgery yesterday at 9:00am :-) I feel a little week and sore but other than that I feel a lot better then I thought it was gonna be. My Dr. was Michael p. Choi at strax rejuvenation in lauderhill Fl. He's very strict but I feel he has been a great Dr. And did a good job on my surgery. I had my surgery at 9am and was home by 12pm yesterday. I'm on a clear liquid and sf jello and popsicle diet. I also don't have any problems swallowing any of my medications which I'm very pleased about. I feel some restriction already too when I'm easily full before finishing a cup of jello. :-) im self pay and all my pre op and post op visits plus my surgery and upcoming first fill r costing me 10,300 all in all. Which to me is a small price to pay for my overall health, especially since my mom passed away at 36 from a massive heart attack. She was 5'2" and weighed 300lbs. Me I'm 5'6 started out at 295 but lost down to 280 on the pre op diet. I know I still have a long way on my journey to beinging healthier but I am so glad to be on the other side and I would recommend my Dr. To anyone and definately recommend this proceedure. I'm glad to be a part of this feb bandster group and have been lurking in here for about two weeks now. I have found yalls words and expirences very insightful and extremely helpful and I'd just like to say good luck to the rest of u feb bandsters in starting yalls journeys as well. :-)

I only got to pick the flavors of my shakes the brand is Bariatric advantage and it was chosen by my Dr. I didn't have a choice on what brand.

I'm starving!!! My pre op diet was supposed to be two protein shakes and one high protein small meal for one week then 3 protein shakes a day and no food for the next week But after only being on it for 2 days the nurse called and asked how much weight I've lost and I said 5lbs which I thought was pretty good for two days of this diet. But then she told me to go completely to only 3 protein shakes a day and only water to drink on valentines day. I've been walking 2 1/2miles everynight and not cheated on this diet at all but I've become sooo ravenous that I've begun dreaming about food. My surgerys not till Feb 24 and I've lost 12 of the 20lbs I'm supposed to lose but everyday I just feel weaker and weaker. I almost passed out in the shower this morning. I still have 6 more days of this to go and part of me is so tired I'd just like to lay in the bed till that day and sleep. You'd think since I've been doing this for 4 days I'd be used to this by now but as I sit here and type this my stomach feels like its eating itself and rumbling away. Sorry for venting on here but I'm beginning to feel very blue and down on myself. :-(
