7 Weeks Pregnant --Slipped Band And Scared Put Of My Mind!
I was banded in July 2011...and was doing great until this may (2012)....i couldnt keep anything down and had a feeling that my band had slipped! Went to the doc and sure enough it was a bad slip...they took ALL my fluid out hoping it would repair it self in time. After taking the fluid out I felt great...just took it easy on my stomach! This were going good ...then I found out I was pregnant. Im now 7 weeks pregnant and as of last night the same symptoms I had with the slip are back!!! I can't keep ANYTHING down...even water!! Im scared out if my mind bc they already took all the fluid out so I don't know what else to do and I have to get something in my stomach for the baby!!! Im so scared and tired of being in pain that I am leaning towards getting the band removed..but not sure what I'll do for the next 9 months...Im terrified that I'll loose or harm my baby!!!

ANY HOPE OF RESTRICTION AFTER FIRST Lap Band FILL????
I'm so glad you posted this b/c I'm feeling the same way...I feel hungry all the time and I'm so scared that I have streched my pouch but I keep hearing "don't worry, you're fine" and my 1st fill is on Aug 18th...I had surgery July 19 and have lost 17 lbs since, but I feel like I'm starving so I hope this 1st fill does it for me because my husband is deployed and will be home on leave the middle of December so I want to do the best I can to surprise him with my weight loss!!

HELP!! Need advice about eating out!
I am at 3 weeks post op and I am meeting my parents for dinner on Wednesday so they can see my son and just spend time with them! I am nervous because i don't know what to order or where to even go! Does anyone have any suggestions? I am off of the liquid diet and on to the 'mushy' stage!

back to reality...blah..
Post op day 6...physically I'm feeling great...little tenderness in my stomach when I try to bend over or bend the wrong way! I was able to sleep on my side last night comfortably for the 1st time so that was AWESOME!! As much as I tried to stay away from the scale I weighed myself and I have lost 11 lbs since surgery 6 days ago and that made me feel pretty dang confident about this whole thing! BUT even with all these great changes going on I'm feeling so bummed and lonley today!! I just miss my husband and the fact that he won't be home for another 10 months is so irritating today because I want my best friend here with me watching these changes...seeing me grow and become a new person! I think I'm so bummed because my dad had to go home today so it's back to just me and my lil guy...I think he's feeling it to b/c all day he's been saying "mommy I miss my daddy...him in Cuba but I miss him!" AAGGHH dang you deployments...this is our 4th so you would think I could handle days like this, and I can..I'll be fine it just SUCKS!! I MISS YOU SSG RICHARD SCHATZ AND WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!!! Sorry to be a downer...tomorrow WILL be better! It has to be because I 'go back to work' tomorrow!!! I put that in quotes because I work from home, I do in home daycare so I won't be actually going anywhere but I have 2 new kids starting in the morning and I'm a little nervous about it! There is one 4 year old and a 6 month old so I"m nervous to see if I will be able to pick him up with out any discomfort! Well off to get this house back in order and ready for daycare because right now it looks like I haven't cleaned in years! URGH! Why can't I just stay home, not work and still get paid!? LOL!

Post Op Day 5: REPOSTED
For some reason this did not post last night so I'm re posting it and then going on to today's entry!! Well here I am post op day 5 and I feel pretty amazing! I still have some tenderness in my stomach area from time to time but for the most part I'm loving life! My dad has been here for a few days visiting and I haven't been in the mood to even leave the house so I told him if he wanted to do something today would be the day b/c I was feeling good!! SO we did..we got out of the house and went into KC to Nebraska Furniture Mart to shop and just enjoy being out!! My son surely enjoyed it b/c he's only 3 and hates being cooped up inside!! I was so excited while on our outing I actually got to 'eat out' with my son and my dad...inside NFM they have a Quiznos and they serve soup...so they got their sandwiches and I got a cup of chicken noodle soup and just had the broth!! I was so dang proud...I went out to eat and still stuck to my post op liquid diet!! I got my 1st Kindle while we were there and I'm now at home on the hunt for some good books about the lap band journey to load on there

My big day...
Yes I am so very lucky to have her!!! When you are married to a soldier you don't usually get to keep friends for long because of constant moving! BUT Johanna and I have been so very lucky! I met her when we were stationed in Colorado...then we all moved to Texas for a few years and now she is only 2 hours from here! We have survived 2 very long deployments together and we are currently surviving our 3...we both can't wait for our husbands to come home safely..AGAIN!! Thank you very much for your encouragment!

My AGB surgery is July 28
Try not to worry to much! My surgeon had me only do 4 days of 100% liquids and I was banded on the 19th with no issues what so ever!! I also had NO issues with my insurance getting approved, I didn't even have to do 3 months of counseling and weight monitoring so I'm sure everything will go smooth! It's normal to be worried b/c this is a huge life change that you want badly!! We are all here for you and good luck! The liquid diet is so hard for me so just staying postivie and determination is what is keeping me going!!

She wasnt happy about my decisoin but she was there so hopefully between now and the 7th (which is my wedding anniversary by the way ) some if not all of them will come around!!! HELLO- new here!! Army Wife in Kansas!
Aaaww thank you! We dont get many thank you's!! He says it's just his job...its what he loves to do, so I will be here supporting him until he's finally home! I think it's actually easier on me to do this while he's gone b/c he's a friend chicken, mashed taters kind of guy so now I don't have the temptations in front of me in my own kitchen on a nightly basis! I hope I can keep on target though with out his motivation skills!
