  1. I hated exercise before getting sleeved.i was 305 pounds and you expect me to enjoy working out as hard as i was just to lose a pound and a half a week?!?! Then i was sleeved.i was losing weight and feeling more energetic and had so much inspiration.your loosing weight, your eating differently you start to think differently and you may even want to add aome excersize in! I started out walked down the block, then around the block, around 2 blocks.i added 5 minutes onthe elipticle,10 minutes a week after that. ...i now excersize 25 minutes on the ellipticle, lift sone light weights and walk a mile a night!(then again im a student so i have the time!) Rome wasnt built in a day!you dont wake up from the surgery and turn into a lean mean fitness machine!if you want it badly enough youll make it happen even if its 30 minutes a dAy!at 305 pounds i never freakin would have thought... Youll see with your weight loss your going to do more for both your body and mental state:)goodluck to you!
  2. HEy everyone!so I was sleeved a month and a couple days ago...Doig great!my birthday was yesterday, just turned 21.tmrw me and my family are going celebrating and I wanted a little sangria.not so sure if its a bad idea, what do you guys think?how long was it before you had some alcohol?not trying to get crazy...just wanted to celebrate my birthday!
  3. Hi!welcome....congrats on your date!one thing that helped me during the liquid stage was putting my protein shakes in the blender with some ice...thickens it up and fills you!goodluck
  4. 305 pre op After 2 week liquid diet I was 290 Now 3 weeks and 2 days post op I'm 267.7!! 37 pound loss I think?very happy:)
  5. Yay!!!!!!good for you!in three weeks post op and doing great:)it's not easy at first, but you'll be taken good care of and before you know it you'll feel back to normal! A little to expect: Gas pains-walk walk walk, you'll be able to feel it shift around which is a good thing:) I felt nautious, and had the shivers-that was my personal reaction to the anastezia First 2 days you might feel down right lousy(I did at least, some people feel okay) but by day 4 and 5 youll feel comfortible! Goodluck to you,any questions feel free to message me:)
  6. Omg im a year to late!sorry!!!ignore that post
  7. The liquid diet for me was very difficult for the first couple of days, mentally I mean!i wanted to chew something in the worst worst way...but you can do it!!!youll find your body will adjust itself and you'll become used to it.post op I was on Clear Liquids a week, then Protein shakes week 2...my body handled it just fine.as far as nutrients goes you'll be taking Vitamins as soon as you can and that will give you what you need! One trick I learned pre op to kind of fill me up a bit more is I put my Protein shake in the blender and added some ice!it was good!doubled the size of the shake and fills you up more!just a suggestion...goodluck!hope I helped at all or at least answered any questions

Thank god for this thread!im going on 2 weeks post-op and the last 4 or 5 days I get an on and off stinging or pinching feeling right around my big incision where they pulled my stomach out!i thought It was because iv increased walking but knowing now that it's more common makes me feel a lot better!the stinging lasts about 4 seconds, then either comes back in another minute or so or comes back later on in the day!
  11. I had terrible gas pains post op...so bad!everything your experiencing is normal!just walk walk walk!the gas pain will move around to different parts of your body, mine went to my shoulders!!by day 5 your feeling a hell of a lot better.everyday gets easier and just remember to fart whenever possible lol! Another thing is,it was a while before I was able to move my bowels.im 9 days post op and had to drink milk of magnesia I think it's called,2 days ago because I just wasn't going.i you reach a week without going I'd call the doctor just to see what they say!goodluck!
