It hard to sleep because I can't sleep on my back. How long before any of you started sleeping on your sides or stomach?

I'm 4 days post-op and I'm just starting to lay on my right side. If I didn't have gas pain I'd be laying on my stomach.

Hopefully I can start laying on my side as soon As you. So hard laying on my back that all i do is get up and walk around my house

The first two days I had the advantage of the hospital bed which can position you in different degrees but once I got home I found it difficult to find a comfortable position. I have such horrible gas pains still that I can't get much sleep. Definitely better every day though, up until yesterday I even put pressure on my sides.

What do your gas pains feel like? At the moment I feel a lot of rumbling down there

I was sleeping on my side before I came home my dr. Said it won't hurt me I didn't know I was I just woke up like that . I help my gas pains I didn't have a lot :-)

I came home yesterday and I slept on my side right away. I hope you are able to get comfortable soon.

I get a pain at times in the middle of my back, like where your bra snaps are it really hurts at times. I guess its gas, not sure. Anyone else experience this?

Hi everyone!im on day 8 post op and just payed on my stomach last ***ht...still sore but it was better then sleeping onmy back by far...you'll get there:)

OP do you have a recliner you can try? It may help of you arent flat on your back.

I found that laying on my left side helped with the gas a lot. I just started sleeping on my stomach last ***ht on post-op day 3. Find a position that's comfortable, it won't hurt you.
