  2. I eat anything I want!!!!! No more obsessing over food!!!! My life is so different because I truly just eat what sounds good to me, I just can't eat much of it because there isn't much space. For instance, today I ate a grilled chicken sandwich from McDonald's and I was able to eat 1/2 to 3/4 but that last bite didn't feel good. I still order off kids menus and share meals with people. If I get a sandwich from somewhere usually can only eat 1/2 with no sides. Pizza hut pizza just one piece is comfortable. If I eat 1 1/2 then I'm not comfortable. I've even tested this and ate just crap for a week. I think it's impossible for me to gain weight. it's like I'm finally safe in somebody else's wonderful body.
  3. Doing research for my friend. I was already sleeved 1 1/2 years ago at Florence hospital but they are wanting to send her to INT? Anybody sleeved at INT ? If so , when ?
  4. Have you tried cutting back for a week. I have found that when I don't eat much for a few days. I feel more restriction when I try to eat again. It's like learning to eat all over again. Just a suggestion. I'm a 1 1/2 out and weight 145.
  5. I'm 1 1/2 years out and I eat anything I want , I just don't eat much of it anymore because there's not much space there. I've even eaten crap food for a week to test this thing lol. I was tired but I didn't gain any weight. I really think its impossible almost for me to gain weight. I never fluctuate more than within 2 pounds. I weigh 145.
  6. Hi . I would like to talk to you about your doctor. I used Trish but she was with dr Kelly at that time. My friend is wanting too use Trish but now she is with dr pounce so in trying to gather my on information and do my own research about this doctor so I know my friend is safe.
  7. Sleeved 1 1/2 years ago. Weight 145. Sleeved with Dr Kelly. Feel great just energy level a little different. Should be taking vitamins but I don't. Bad me.
  8. I experienced a long stall but earlier on. I now weigh 145. My surgery was 1 1/2 years ago. Woot woot
  9. I was sleeved Jan. 2011. Almost 1 1/2 ago. Yes, I do have moments of regret. Mainly because eating is not enjoyable anymore. I eat because I have to. I don't enjoy food anymore.
  10. Everybody complaining about weight loss just be patient. The body is a complicated thing and it's went through quite an ordeal. It has to adjust. Trust me !!! One day you will be like me! I'm a year and a half out and I'm wondering if my body is going to know when to stop losing weight !!!! I'm becoming very concerned with that. It is impossible for me to gain weight. I was a slow loser with stalls all the way. And I once worried whether I would lose the weight now im fearing the opposite. However , none the less I consistently went down no matter what I ate. I never once gained even a pound.
  11. I got sleeved almost a year and half ago by Dr. Kelly. You are in the best of hands. He is awesome. My name is Sheila Locus. Tell him I said hi.
  12. I am a year and a half out. I think you are lucky you can eat that much. You will still lose weight on that amount if calories. It may take longer but trust me it is a safer and healthier way for your journey. Count your blessings and be patient !
  13. I'm 3 weeks out. From my experience... 1. When the drain is removed you will feel a ton better and will be able to sleep. Walk when you can. 2 Not having a BM yet is normal. It took me over 10 days when I started having something other than clear fluids. 3. Normal the scale hasn't moved yet due to all the iv fluids they pumped you with in the hospital. It will all get better very, very soon! Hang in there.
  14. This will only continue to go back and forth. My post, and fellow sleever's post aren't intended for coordinators. If you spend alot on your websites as you say, then you shouldn't need to stalk the boards of vertical sleeve. You should be on your website pushing your business not on vertical sleeve interfering when patients are speaking of their persoal experiences. Unprofessional, if you ask me.
  15. Thank you, SFOTraveler! That's encouraging to know!
  16. Tntransplant06....I feel ya! I will pray it passes quickly for the both of us!
  17. Quality surgeon for half to a fourth of the cost. For some of us, it is our only choice.
  18. I also just want to say, I don't wish to get in any arguemnet on here with a coordinator. I really don't think they should be allowed on here to stalk our posts. They are like car salesmen, getting paid huge fees if you decide to go through them. It is our PERSONAL experiences that we speak about on here and should be allowed to express them to other potential sleeve patients without dealing with a coordinators comments. I don't think its very perfessional on the coordinators part. Dr. Kelly is amazing and my only intentions of posting my experience is to HELP potential sleeve patients have the BEST experience they can have! I'm sharing information I wish I would of known in advance. However, whatever route one choses to go is your choice and your experience will be all yours. I have nothing more to say on this topic.
  19. Yes, I agree it will eventually come off and I'm so thankfulf for that. I'm torn about how often to weigh. It has been my experience in the past that If I avoid the scale then I don't know when I'm getting out of line and may need to make changes in my diet due to things I might be overlooking. However, if you weigh too much that is definitely not good either. I think I just have too much down time right now to think about it! I took off alot from work because I wanted to make sure I was not sick and had the eating down pat and not tired before I started back to my normal routine. However, I think staying busy would have helped more. I can't wait til March 14, I will be working more and in school at the same time and I think it will go alot faster then and not consumed my thoughts. LOL
  20. And yes, you do ride in a professional medical van if you go directly through Dr. Kelly's personal assistant and coordinator Trish. That is fact. Dr. Kelly pays for this. If you go through an outside company, this will not be your means of transportation because your outside company is responsible for this and other details. Also, if you go through an outside company, Dr. Kelly gets CONSIDERABLY less for performing your surgery. To each there own. I would rather more money go to my doctor who saved my life and truly earned it than to an outside company who couldn't keep my information straight and who I had to constantly call them for the follow-up. Like I said, to each their own. As far as I'm concerned, THE SURGEON is the deserving one not an outside company that charges ridiculous fees selling surgery to the doctor. However, the decision is all yours!
  21. Sandy, If you are gonna post something, please tell it like it is. This is bogus! Trish works for ONE doctor. She is a coordinator also who works for ONE doctor. Doctor Kelly is the only one she works for! These outside companies, like yourself, alot of times work for 6 or more doctors which is why they can't keep your information straight!
  22. I think I'm at the 3 week stall everybody talks about. I started this journey at 192.8 (BMI of almost 32), so I suspected I would be a slow loser but was really hoping that wouldn't be the case. I was really hoping to be down 30 pounds in a month. I have some catching up to do if that is gonna happen. So sad.
