  1. How much chicken broth/water did everyone drink? I'm on day 3 post and I'm not sure how often to eat. Bc I'm honestly not hungry which is great!!!
  2. I was the same way. Everyone's Pains I notice are slightly different. I am day 3 post op and am not having any complications. Just dealing w pain and swelling. I had some really painful swelling and tightness in my chest but was given meds and it subsided within minutes. So everything is going to be alright. Nervousness and excited come w the deal lol
  3. I stayed 2 nights, the 2nd night was my choice bc I was nauseous the first night and in a lot of pain. But thankfully no complications and I hope none in the future. I'm not really hungry at all now that I am home on my 3rd day post op. I have to schedule myself to eat. So far loving my sleeve.
  4. Congrats!!! This is my day 2 of my sleeve and you inspire me
  5. Yup I'm sure this pain will subside bc it's a little more than I thought but it's diminishing each moment that passes.
  6. 11 hrs post surgery and although it honestly has been tough and painful I see the light at the end, so far paying attention to your body is important. Rest and wall
  7. I bought some isopure on amazon! but will have to force myself to drink it, it can't be worse than drinking straight vodka, rum, or beer yuck so I guess I have to drink them bc I bought a twelve pack !!!!
  8. Haha I just hope to be on the losers bench w you!
  9. Haha me too! Surgery at 8am tomorrow!
  10. Geez I wish all I had to pay was $301!!!! I had to pay 10% but it will Be worth it on the long run. :-)
  11. Yes, it's different Billing INS they always try to get.more. Self pay would.have been $14,400.00 but you know that's how it is in the USofA lol. I am happy to being this much closer. July 5th is my morning!!!! Just thought I would share what happened bc I was curious of what to expect.
  12. My preop appt consisted of weight 269, height 5-6.5", urine sample, blood work, EKG, and a chest X-ray. Anesthesia woman came in and asked a bunch of questions from what medications do i currentlytake, when was the last time i took them. She asked if i took any drugs or marijuana. They ask because smoking cigarettes effects healing and so can marijuana use. She asked if i bruised easily or have been sick recently. Everything took maybe a couple hours. I was told the estimated amount of this vsg surgery is $65k and the insurance allowable portion is 10% so out of pocket I have paid to the hospital $2,142.00 (not including meds and prep foods) not bad considering the surgery is so expensive. I just hope no other bills are sent to me... Now on to patiently waiting for surgery day.
