  1. I'm 9 weeks out and still eat a small amount of food. Start with the meat and if I'm lucky maybe a couple bites of veggies but most of the time it's just the meat. Last night I made hamburger on the George Foreman grill and I barely ate 1/2 dipped in ketchup. Had the other half today for lunch. Snack tonight will more than likely be a few peanut butter crackers and perhaps some SF diced pears.
  2. Poor Laura! I was so impacted after surgery it left me miserable! Took colace & ducolax. Not a good place to be..I do however have to watch my cheese intake it really binds me. Hope you feel better!
  3. It gets better with time. It was difficult right after surgery but now I will take a big gulp and swallow little amounts at a time as well. Atlanta how are you doing?
  4. I know your discouraged but don't be, your body is healing & adjusting to this major surgery..your weight WILL decrease trust me! I'm not a fan of the scale either and there will be more than 1 stall on this journey..we all go through this just stay focused on your doctors/nutritionists instructions. Drink, drink, drink your Water..than drink some more. As for the Super Bowl party, have a shake or some Protein before you leave, take your water possibly add some crystal light and enjoy! Keep smiling!!
  5. I was sleeved Dec 2nd and trust me, it does get better your just not able to eat as much..and that's a good thing! Keep pushing on:)
  6. WOW!!! You look AMAZING great job!!! I can't wait until I hit 4 months!! Sleeved in early Dec down over 30lbs but right now it seems slow moving... Keep up the great work! How long have you been running if you don't mind me asking?
  7. I believe it's an individual decision...personally no one has asked me how I got fat! When they ask how I lost I don't lie, I tell them I eat high protein, low sugar and workout and changed some bad habits...not a lie.
  8. My heart is breaking for you..please seek the advice from the professional link that was provided. We are ALL here for you, this isn't sounding good. Prayers for you!

  10. My NUT never entwined anything about this however I'm concerned about the amount of sodium in foods, esp dining out options. Any thoughts?
  11. 1-The scale...disappointed when I don't see a significant change 2-eating slowly.
  12. I've gone through this too, very frustrating!!!
  13. Quest didn't cut it for me however Atkins protein bar is awesome!!! Low sugar, high protein:)
  14. Stay strong and drink that water honey!! Take some nice walks and clear your mind....you've gone through too much to go back "there"...we all have little set backs but it's how we react to them that defines us. Go back to step 1..grab a shake and get to steppin' You got this!!!
  15. Tonight was the first time I've been to a restaurant since my surgery (7 weeks this Monday). Went to Red Lobster and bypassed the biscuits, salad, appetizer and order 1/2 lb crab legs. Perfect amount and it was delish!!! The waitress really wanted to get me something to drink so I ordered a water and let it set. Great night!!!
  16. Not too much actually. Just remember you haven't had much really except shakes...down the road I would suggest taking a stool softener, I'm almost 7 weeks out and have had horrible constipation (tmi sorry). Getting 65ounces of water in on top of 65 gm protein is my struggle!
  17. I'm 6 week post-op as of today and will meet this afternoon for that appointment however in "my book", it states that today I will start Pre-Natal vitamens along with Calcium and continue the B-12 sublingual...I have been doing the Flinestone Complete Chewables since before surgery. My question is, which Calcium product is the best? Thank you,
  18. I had a stall about 3-4 weeks out. Starting going to the gym and walking the treadmill for 30 minutes than doing the "sit-down" elliptical (not sure the correct name for it), and the leg press, hoping it would jump start me again. I think it might be due to our increase of food during this time? Hormonal changes as well? I have heard it passes..I am 6 week post-op as of today and down a few more pounds. My clothes are getting really loose YAY!
  19. I LOVE Unjury Chocolate...makes the best shakes! I add some ice and PB2 and sometimes SF Butterscotch pudding to make a "Butterfinger Shake"...YUMMY! Seems like I'm cheating
