  9. I'm almost 5 weeks post-op and have suffered horribly with constipation. Been taking Ducolax but it doesn't seem to help. Going to buy some Metamucil today to see if that makes a difference...UGH

  13. Yes 2big2skate. Right underneath my sternum. Still working on eating slowly (although what I finest isn't much), and sometimes with fluids I get the same pain. Often times I just have to focus on breathing through my nose and exhaling through my mouth to ease the pain. Meet with doc for 6-week post op in a couple of weeks will mention this. Until then I think I'll start popping Prilosec in the morning to see if this subsides. Or should I do more than 1 a day? Many thanks all!!!
  14. Thank you for your encouraging words, means a lot!
  15. Thank you for your encouraging words, means a lot!!!
  16. Does anyone routinely take Prilosec? I've never had problems with Gerd or Heartburn prior to surgery however now after having anything to eat, I have this awful pain feeling in my lower chest area. I'm week 4.5 post-op. Thank you friends!

  23. Good morning & happy new year all! Sooooo...got on the scale today (which btw I am always a but paranoid about), and I've gained 2 lbs! WTH?? I started soft foods the day after Christmas and honestly I struggle with getting in 2 ounces! I found this Protein drink in a convenience store called Core Power (26gm of protein) and have been having one here & there but I'm also concerned that many foods have high doses of sodium and wonder if this has something to do with the gain? I've been adding ham to my scrambled eggs (I might eat 1-2 tbsp) but this is frustrating!! I joined a gym and have been doing the treadmill & recumbent bike. Can anyone offer suggestions on this? I read it's normal to have a stall but I'm not liking this. Thank you
  24. I'm on 500 mg once a day, I have to break the tablet in half and take 30 minutes apart.
