  1. Yesterday was rough not gonna lie! Hurts to sip water hopefully that will go away??? Starting protein shakes today and possible released from hospital this afternoon. Has anyone had problems with it hurting to sip?

  13. Jen I've been told by my pre-admission nurse that heating pad help but walking is a must. My PT gave me exercises to do in the hospital also Nothing too strenuous. Keep walking.

  15. Well so far today I've done the pre-admission testing, EKG, chest X-ray, gallbladder ultrasound, upper GI, and now I'm sitting in physical therapy. One more NUT visit next Tuesday and I'm done! Jumped through all the hoops....I had myself worked up over this swallow test but it wasn't too bad! Glad it's over though. Thanks all for the support!!! Full steam ahead! Dec 2nd!!!
  16. Oh man, that is a lot! So sorry you have to do this! I agree gemgirl, its the fear of the unknown. We are all so prepared on the surgery that these little "unknowns" are what throw us...hopefully not literally! thanks for responding.

  18. I am choosing the sleeve because I wasn't crazy about all the anastomosis and malabsorption. I think it's an individual choice, do whats best for you. Best wishes!
  19. So, tomorrow is my testing day: Barium Swallow, Gallbladder Ultrasound, Bloodwork, PT. I'm more freaked about the barium test than ANYTHING! Calling out to all for some advice, tips, "you can do it".... Thanks all!

  23. Hi all! My surgery date just got moved from Dec 11th to Dec 2nd! WHOOO HOOO! So much to do in such a short time. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Hugs to all!
  24. I think as long as your not running a temp you should be alright, but ask. They load you up with antibiotics in the OR also. Best wishes!
