  1. A close friend of mine had Dr. Pop and had no problems. He's a nice guy!
  2. All great questions! I see my surgeon next Tuesday! Can't wait!
  3. Prayers for a speedy recovery!
  4. Hello and thanks for starting this thread! I meet with my NUT (5th out of 6 required visits) & Surgeon in 2 weeks and hope to get a surgery date in Dec...(I work at a college and most students leave after finals). At any rate, my insurance required 6 NUT visits and they've gone exceptionally well. Had my psych eval early in the game...now I just wait to meet & discuss surgery with him..Oct 22nd. Was told to plan on a 3 hour visit that day, not sure why it would be that long so if you have any idea and wish to share that would be awesome! I am currently 250, about 5'5" and just turned 50!! (WOW, that seems weird). Having Dr. White from Toledo Hospital. Cheers!
  5. WOW! That's awesome, great job..keep up the good work. Looking forward to my "hopeful" surgery in Dec.
  6. Congrats to you!!! Your going to do fine. We are all here to support you
  7. Congrats to you!!! Your going to do fine. We are all here to support you
  8. What are some great protein shakes that I can try before my surgery and adding ice is alright? I like them cold (did the Herbalife thing awhile back). My NUT gave me a couple samples of Unjury? Any suggestions on what to try is GREATLY appreciated.
  9. Ew...hate eggs, cannot even imagine them feeling mushy like that in my mouth Go Sleevers!
  10. Are they a "no-no"? Just curious. You've done well so far, keep up the good work!
  11. This is a great topic...as I am in the mid stages of this. Hoping for surgery in Dec. Trying to plan accordingly.
  12. Congrats to you and wishing you a speedy recovery. Great tip on the Chapstick..I've read that a couple of times on here, hope I don't forget. Meeting with my Surgeon on the 22nd to hopefully book a day for Dec (last NUT visit in Nov.). Keep your chin up and a smile on your face!
  13. I'm meeting my NUT for my 4th out of 6 visits this Thursday. Meet with surgeon and her next month ( hoping to schedule surgery for dec), than finishing up NUT in Nov! Getting close cannot wait!!!!
  14. Will call Monday...thanks for everyone's advice really appreciate it.
  15. My NUT told me that the 6 consecutive visits with her would suffice.... Have a letter from BCBS that states the same requirements need to be met, hope there aren't any last minute surprises?
  16. YAY for you!!! I'm looking forward to Oct appointment with NUT & Surgeon and surgery date! Really want Dec surgery!
  17. My NUT said 6 weeks but no beer, too much carbonation
  18. So I met with my awesome NUT yesterday and she scheduled me to meet with herself & my surgeon on month 5 visit..hoping to schedule a surgery date for Dec. with the last NUT visit in November should nail it!!! Getting soooo excited. Apparently BCBC of MI doesn't require paperwork to be submitted for approval, so after completing the 6 month NUT I should be good to go!!! Come on December! Happy dance over here! Thanks all for letting me shout out!
  19. That's incredible! Congratulations to you:)
  20. I haven't been sleeved yet but looking forward to not sweating so much! It's embarrassing when a simple walk makes you spill buckets:( I can sweat in a cold shower! I hope having the sleeve changes this???
  21. I completely understand how you feel. I have not had my surgery yet (hoping dec), but have decided to keep it to myself. If someone notices and says something, I will say "thank you, I feel good", and continue on my way. If someone becomes persistent about how I did it, I will not lie but say, high Protein, little carbs (truth yes??). No one has asked me how I gained weight so surely it isn't anyone's business how I lost it. Just my thoughts & opinion.
  22. Cheers! You look awesome, congrats sista!
  23. Congrats! You look awesome!
