I went my hair appointment today. Haven't seen my stylist since before I started my journey. As soon as I walked in she was blown away with how much better I looked and even invited me to a work towards a color run with her in march and a mud run in may! It really made my day for someone that I don't see every day to acknowledge the difference....including my preop dieting I have lost 40 pounds since the last time I saw her and since surgery 12/2- I'm down another 22 lbs....I'm so happy....tell me a story of when some one lifted you up like this I'd love to hear!

That is so great - keep up the good work!

I don't know what your weights are, but our pre- and post-op losses are similar. I'm down a few sizes in clothes, but I'm still not getting any weight-specific compliments. I've gotten compliments on my hair, compliments on my jacket, compliments on my (not new) glasses, etc. It's like people can't figure out what's different about me! That's actually totally fine with me. I wasn't forthcoming with my surgery plans, and want to keep it under wraps for as long as possible.
