What about sodium intake?

My NUT never entwined anything about this however I'm concerned about the amount of sodium in foods, esp dining out options.

Any thoughts?

I always watch my sodium intake (having high BP), and my NUT was reluctant and said not to worry, but I forced her to give me a number, and she said to try and stay under 2000mg/day. I'm usually around 1600, but I need to chose low sodium options most of the time!

My doc has me staying at around 1,500mg per day because of hypertension. I like staying under 2,000mg anyway, because once that sodium intake gets up there, then I start retaining water, and even though I know it's just water retention, I hate seeing the scale go up!
