  5. I am 14 days out and stalled. Haven't lost anything in three days. I'm exercising and following my diet perfectly. Getting enough protein and water in. What else should I do?
  6. I made a tasty snack that has 9-12 grams of protein approx for each 3 Oz cup. And they are chocolatey too! 1 jello fat free sugar free instant pudding mix in chocolate. 3 scoops of chocolate protein powder and 2 cups skim milk. Divide into 3 Oz portions and enjoy. Sooo tasty!!!

  8. I also had a great experience with dr. Ortiz. I am in the hotel on the first of two nights and am feeling great with only a tiny bit of numbness in my butt. Apparently this is normal, his team and the nurses at the hospital are awesome! Some advice though is to bring with you some thick tape for gauze. When they give you tape for your gauze when you leave, it is super thin and you have to use a ton of it to secure your bandages when you change them yourself at the hotel. They use thicker stuff at the hospital and it seems to work way better. Abraham and Eduardo are awesome and super helpful, if you guys have any more questions let me know. Good luck everyone!!
  9. I just got sleeved in Mexico a couple of days ago. I went through all of the pre op work for getting surgery approved in Alberta and with being in Fort McMurray and the centre being based out of Edmonton, this took multiple trips to Edmonton and about a year to get approval for surgery. This is where I was told that it would take another 12-18 months to get scheduled in for surgery. For me, it was a matter of timing. I was getting surgery to lose weight to get pregnant and don't want to wait another 12-18 months. I think that for people in rural places that aren't close to the wls centres, it is a big deal to go back and forth for appointments and spend more overall than you would spend going down to Mexico.
