  1. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a blessed day! Enjoy your family! I have been with my cousin for 2 weeks now. She lost her 41 yr old healthy husband to a massive heart attack 3 weeks ago. So, I'm away from my hubby and kids, but Christmas comes every year and Jesus is with me day by day.
  2. Thank you! You'll make it! I didn't think I was going to make it i had 5 lbs to lose last week and when I got on the scale this morn I did it.
  3. I'm so excited, I thought I'd be a few lbs off, but I MADE IT!! Down to 207! HW 273 SW 257 (10/16/12) CW 207 #droppinitlikeitshot
  4. I was hospitalized 3 times and 3rd was for a week. I don't have FVL but I ended up with a uti and kidney stones from the dehydration. It's soooo hard to get fluids in...forget about the protein and drink Gatorade until u can tolerate more. It gets better promise! Praying for you!
  5. I feel your pain! Been there, u couldn't even eat a sliver if cheese without getting sick. However, I'm almost 10 wks out and although I can't tolerate ice cream or milk, I can tolerate most cheese in moderation. Good luck!
  6. I'm 9 wks out nothing was said to me however In addition to the steroid pack and Celebrex I'm also on 40mg of Prilosec twice a day.
  7. It's interesting the difference in surgeon opinions. I read that Celebrex is the only NSAID approved for the sleeve. I can't imagine that people with arthritis such as myself would be a candidate for WLS if we can't take NSAIDs. I'm calling my surgeon today I'm curious what his opinion is considering it was never mentioned.
  8. My doc never mentioned whether or not I could take them, however, I just finished a steroid pack and am on Celebrex. Im 9 weeks out.
  9. It gets better! It took about 6 weeks for me. I'm now 9 weeks and doing great. Those first 6 weeks were awful and I was hospitalized for a week at week 3! Hang in there and drink Gatorade to stay hydrated.
  10. Have them. Hate them. Lol I don't feel stable in them I always trip. thanks though!
  11. I take b12 but thinking about switching to the injection to see if it makes a difference.
  12. Oh my goodness size 11!?! I wish I could get some use out of then. However, I'm 4"10, size 6 lol ill prob be wearing kid sizes again once I lose more weight. Congrats on your loss! I'm 2 mths out and down 64. Loving it! I did see a podiatrist. He taped me up for 3 days then gave me inserts, put me on a steroid pack, Celebrex, and told me to stay off my feet as much as possible for 8 weeks. That was 2 weeks ago, my left foot us completely better no pain even in the am. Right foot is another story. It is better, but still painful in the am and when I first start walking on it. I guess 2 1/2 yrs if dealing with it was way too long. I'm just praying that it gets better without further intervention.
  13. You will be thrilled with the revision. I was unable to do the revision in 1 shot because my band was ulcerated, but I am soooo pleased with my sleeve. It's a lot more emotional than the band was but once you get through the 1st 6 wks its awesome. Good luck to you!
  14. I'm able to eat what I want too. I still haven't tried eating anything hard or chewy yet I'm too chicken. It took me long enough to be able to be comfortable with food. Like you I eat 3 meals and 1-2 snacks. Cashews have become my new fav snack lately. Yumm
  15. Oct 16 here...63 lbs total, 47 lbs since surgery lovin my sleeve!!
  16. Ok, that makes it hard to stop dairy. If you have a hard time doing so, Lactaid makes a chewable. Maybe try that.
  17. How far out are you? I realized week 3 that I had a lactose intolerance. I would stop dairy and then reintroduce it very slowly to see if it continues. This way you'll know your limit. Good luck!
