  4. i add the unflavored unjury to my creamed based soup and it taste good. i cant even taste the unjury. i dont add a lot . i just add a little. a little is better than no protein at all.
  5. I have stalled also. I am 2 weeks post op .. i have not seen a drop in 5 days but yesterday i decided to change up my drinking pattern. normally i have my last Protein shake around 10 pm ...so i stopped doing that. now i have my last Protein Shake between 6 pm and 8 pm. the last several days i have been religiously exercising at least 30 minutes per day. after my visit with my doctor tomorrow i am going to try and increase exercise to 60 minutes per day. i will let everyone know how that works for me.
  6. I will pray for you. God is able. I hope and pray everything goes good for you on tuesday
  7. Everything went well for me..... I was driving within 2 days after surgery, I guess it depends on the person. I kept telling myself that i was going to have a painless recovery and so far its worked i had a little discomfort initially but i did not take any pain pills after i left the hospital lets just hope your recovery goes nice and easy as mine has been im heading into my 3rd week post op on july 26
  8. Your goal in the next 2 weeks is to not become dehydrated everything else will fall into place broth, Jello, popsicles are good to help i was suppose to have Protein my first week but it made me want to gag my 2nd week i was able to start drinking my Protein shakes again and that worked out perfect so find liquids things you can hold down and just stick with that until u are able to move on to the next stage
  9. traceyinflorida i totally agree with you...lol
  10. Good Luck to you! I had my surgery on July 12th and Im doing well so guess what ? you will do just as well.. I was nervous too but its something we have to do for our health.... I ill see you on the losers bench real soon
  11. the only thing i could tolerate the first week is popsicles and crystal light, jello and broth and thats what i had. i tried pure protein but it made me want to gag so i decided i would wait for that now im on my 2nd week post op and i have drinking protein shakes, creamed soup, eating pudding and im doing great with that
  12. the first week i just had popsicles and crystal light now im on week 2 post op and i make sure i get 2 Protein shakes in per day
  13. I didnt like them either. im on my 2nd week post op and now i can have protein shakes so im happy about that. i bought some protein for 1st week but i returned them immediately after they made me sick to the stomach
  14. hi i had a pre op test where they took a thin scope and put it down my nose until it hit my stomach to look to see if i had a hernia then i had a pre op ekg and a pre op chest xray also i did a stress test on a stationary bike i had 5 incisions in my stomach during surgery, none of my incisions were left open i did not have a drain
  15. i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I can lose the weight on my own. I know that I can start on a very low calorie diet and become a gym rat and eventually lose the weight. How do I know? Because I have done it many times. However, I also know, without doubt, that I will also eventually gain each and every pound back and they are likely to bring their nasty little friends. How do I know this? Because I have done it many times. I know the same behaviors and eating patterns will result in weight loss with or without the sleeve. What I am looking for is something permanent that I can keep with me that will help me keep weight off. I do not feel like I have failed but rather like I have taken control. Texarkolina you took the words right out of my mouth thats why i just copied what you said im totally the same way
  16. Wonderful..thanks for the information so i cant wait until i can take two swallow at one time
  17. just make sure you stick to your pre op diet. also if you are doing some exercising you should do well. I was nervous on the day of my surgery because my surgery was delayed several hours because my doctor had other surgeries that ran behind. but after i had surgery it was not as bad as i thought. i have not been on pain meds since i left the hospital. everyone is different but you may be one of the ones who dont need pain meds. before i went in i kept asking God to make this easy for me and so far he has
