1St Week Post-Op Diet

What is your first week post-op diet? I'm on clear liquids, but so hungry. And finding it hard to feel full. And not discouraged. I'm feeling better day by day, but finding it hard to get my protein in. What are y'all doing or what did y'all do for that?

My surgery was Monday, only on clear liquids b cramp really bad when I take anything, for the first 2 days after surgery I threw everything back up. My doctor only wants me to get in my 64 ounces of water in, he is not worried about the protein or calories yet, I am having a hard enough time getting the water in. and as for being hungry I don't know if im hungry or not I dont know what I'm feeling.

I had my surgery on tuesday, my doctor said if I am doing well on clear liquids then I can move on to liquids in general, like protein shakes and milk. I tried my first protein shake today and all went ok! Hopefully things keep going like this, i can't wait for pureed foods. I'm looking forward to a pureed crab meat slush....lol, but I know I have to wait a while for that!

the only thing i could tolerate the first week is popsicles and crystal light, jello and broth and thats what i had. i tried pure protein but it made me want to gag so i decided i would wait for that

now im on my 2nd week post op and i have drinking protein shakes, creamed soup, eating pudding and im doing great with that
