  1. Oh no. I have a nut allergy. So glad u bought this up. I'm going to look into it!!
  2. Had a rough evening last night, kinda a similar episode, but chalked it up to a Panic attack. Which I do have meds but didn't take it lasted about a half hour. I was scared but I think it's just the gas, recovery and liquids. Tomorrow I can add protien shakes and cream of wheat too. I think I need it, though I'm not Hungrry. it takes time. Be careful, I'm praying for us all
  3. I was banded on the 15th. Feeling a bit crappy, crabby ect today. Chest pain, and just trying to deal. Good luck, to us. Feel better !
  4. I'm thinking the 'hunger pains' are gas. That's my personal thing. Cause I was banded the 25th and have a tight chest and growling. Gonna walk today more to see if I can get things moving more. I have liquid tylonal with Codien but only take if I have real pain. Which has only been 1st 2 days after surg and then I've weened myself to once yesterday. And none today. Yet:) Good luck all. If I didn't have this site, I'd be a basket case. Lol
  5. Same here Bonnie. Felt like I was getting better and today I feel I've taken a step back. Least I finally had a bm ! Sry if tmi. Lol but I Do have pressure in "long area" Don't see doc till the 28th. But they have a 24hr doc that will answer all ?'s do at least I feel a little comfortable knowing that. I'm a little dizzy too, but gonna try and walk some more, thinking its all as related. Good luck. First weeks the hardest from what I've heard.
  6. I still on clear liquids on I was banded the 15th. & i Don't switch to full liquid till mon/tues. Looking forward to pudding for sure. Was feeling great till last night, now I'm moving slow again:(
  7. Chicken cooked in a crockpot with broths or sauces would probably work great? I'll be trying that. I don't want to give up chicken:( lol
  8. Hope u feel better. Without a clean bill of health from my family doc and my surgeon , no one would come near me. That's most cases I believe. Don't get discouraged. U need to be on top of your game.
  9. It's a brand Gas-X They come in chewable, and now strips that melt in ur mouth, which is great for banders. Some say this medicine works, some don't think so. It did work for pretty well. Good luck!
  10. First off. Good luck to Christiemr, I hope it all works out. Secondly, I'm only 3 days out. So if you asked me on day 1 post op. no, lol, it's not easy. Minor or major-surgery is certainly a process. But now on day 3 - yes...id do it again. Thus far;)
  11. I have to say extra pillows were my main need. My saving grace:) since I'm home, gas X melt aways have been very good to me too:)
  12. No cath here. My surg said they only Do that with longer surgies, or if they had to fix gallbladder or something else when they were in. Depends on your downtime I guess.
  13. Hi Julie. Welcome aboard. I was banded wends the 15th ofAug. So a couple days out and I'm doing pretty well. My doc always put the port on the right side (95%) I asked that question rminutes before my surg for done reason. Lol and that's where my 'pain' comes from. It just a kind of soreness really. Some gas too, which I started gas x melt away strips and feel pretty good with. I'm not even interested in food at this point and getting a nice amt of protein drinks, water, little decaff, jello, & broth. good luck on ur journey and keep us posted!
  14. Great question Erin:)!! Was on my mind too!
  15. I'm only 2 days out and have slightly similar symptoms. But not bad enough to make me nervous. I agree with the others it's gas. I just took a gasX melt away and had a bunch of gas work out easily. My back is hurting a lot today, but probably because I'm walking different and babying my right side. (port) hoping that will pass:) good luck to u!!!
  16. Pre op was a dream compared to the actually surgery. You've gotta be in the right mindset. Once that band is in place, it's all up to you. I've seen people have the band, eat what they want, which causes getting 'stuck' and then they blame the band. I'm only 2 days post-op and I feel like a new person from the inside...and eventually out:) its been a slow recovery thus far but I se the whole picture. Cheating ain't worth it. Good luck to you:)
  17. Hi Bonnie. Hopin ur feeling better by the time u read this. I was banded Wednesday - and pretty sore, sleep hasn't been an issue. I'm using tons of pillows, and warm showers. I had to slow up on the pain meds cause they were keeping me dizzy and slowing me Down personally. Good luck:)
  18. Hey Roxy!! I feel yet. Pretty bloated here. I'm on tylonal with codeine but only taking about every 6 hours. I'm better with less meds. That's what was screwing me up. Gonna fit in some warm showers today and little walks. Feel better:)
  19. Hey and buddies I'm on day 3- Little sips is key. (per doc;) my clears don't include milk products yet, I'm jealous. Lol Real sore today cause I got in some good comfy sleep last night. As today goes on I'm plan on lots of little walks. I have some bloating, and some burping. Not to much gas below yet though. I'm sure it'll come. Good luck all. This is the best site!! So glad to not be alone through all this!!
  20. Still in hospital but doing better. Every hour is better:)
  21. I'm here:) wish me luck !!!!! & good luck to my band buddies!!!
  22. I'm in tomorrow. Waiting on the hospital call for a time:) soooo nervous. But the fact ur doing well, Ames me a little more at ease. So happy for u.
